Good for her, I hope she makes a lot of money since they're pulling her so many ways at once.

Well, it's nice to know we'll hopefully be seeing a lot more of the younger X-Men continuing forward, though I hope Ms. Turner confirming her return so early isn't a confirmation we're rushing into the Phoenix Saga again .

2/13: Of course it is. Hopefully, they'll do this as a trilogy and go outerspace. Also, maybe loosely tie in to New Mutants.

2/21: It would seem Simon Kinberg may be both writing and directing 'X-Men: Pulsar':

Yeah, I'm not sure where the name Pulsar came from, but I'm up for Simon Kinberg directing if he can do a good job.

His roles within Days of Future Past, Deadpool, Logan, and Legion plus Sherlock Holmes, The Martian, and Star Wars Rebels keep me faithful of his potential.

At the same time, I am aware that this would be his live-action directorial debut and his role with the Fantastic Four reboot as well as X-Men: The Last Stand and Apocalypse have people very turned off, but we'll see what happens.

Hmm...Kingberg has no directing experience, so I'm not sure how I feel about having him completely helm an X-Men movie.

I think he works better with another creator like Singer to bounce off, or at least a strong creative mind so we don't end up with stuff like Last Stand or Fant4stic, but I guess we'll see...

No, that's the next official X-Men film. Based on Dark Phoenix Saga. Then New Mutants from Josh Boone. So I believe both films will tie in to each other ad this is supposed to be in the 90's and New Mutants is suspected to be as well. Eventually we're going to hit the wall as the next films are going to be in the era of X-Men 1.

Yeah...I'm in the no-to-Kinberg writing AND directing, especially if it's for the main series of films. I do appreciate his very clear adoration for source, but he's such a mixed bag when he gets so much of the writing cred. DOFP I attribute to him and Singer punching up what Vaughn and Goldman had already completed ("90% made it to the final screenplay").

He's referring to the title change.

Kinberg is someone I have mixed feelings with in general, and I'm not sure I want someone who's inexperienced with directing helming a big blockbuster like this.

That said, I was saying I wanted someone other than Singer. I guess I should be careful what I wish for...

It's going to be a huge risk for Kinberg making his directorial debut with X-Men: Pulsar since he hasn't had any directorial experience before doing this.

    I already know he's a mixed bag.

I imagine FOX has his back, and Singer will be there to guide him.

3/5: Kinberg hints the 'Supernova' title isn't set in stone and "would be something bold and radical and expand the universe in the same way that ‘Logan’ feels bold and radical and certainly ‘Deadpool’ does as well."

He better mean Shi'ar by that. :D

    4/22: Third of three X-movies in 2018. Releases on November 2, 2018.

Well we're still going 13 months without an X Men movie.

I still think they're rushing things by going into Dark Phoenix only a movie after we'd been introduced to the new Jean Grey, her relationship with Scott, and the new X-Men, but I guess I can only hope they're somehow able to do the saga more justice this time around .
