Sorry about the delay, y'all. It's nearly 2 weeks later than had been planned, but this is a little harder than I thought.

Anyway, we'll just do a preamble to start, and the first chapter will follow later this week (promise).

In 1995, Archie Comics acquired a license to publish comics featuring Hanna-Barbera's family of classic cartoon characters. However, as I've learned recently, those books were originally prepared for an overseas audience, and thus Archie editors were not in any position where they could use, say, Scooby-Doo, for a sequel to the 1973 Scooby-Doo Movies episode, "The Haunted Showboat", which brought Josie & the Pussycats back to earth (though not explaining how they got home from the Outer Space series a year earlier), or to have Scooby meet Archie and the gang.

This story will address both of those oversights, and thrust the Archies and the Pussycats into a real supernatural mystery. We'll also see Alexandra Cabot finally lock horns with Sabrina, something that Archie has been hesitant about doing for years----and considering the darker tone of Sabrina's new book, debuting today, maybe just as well for now.

So, hang on to your ascots, the fun will soon begin in part 1, coming soon.

This sounds like it's going to be a great story; I know I've been looking forward to it for quite a while.

Now I just have to get back to writing my own fan fiction pieces; maybe since it's the month of Halloween, inspiration will come back to me :)

    Chapter 1:

It was three weeks before Halloween, and Riverdale High English teacher Geraldine Grundy had scheduled a rare Saturday field trip, to the Massachusetts Arts & Sciences Museum (MASM). It originally was set three days earlier, but due to scheduling conflicts, had to be moved to a Saturday, or be cancelled altogether.

Corey Rivers, a Riverdale graduate, acted as the tour guide for the field trip. As the class reached the Hall of the Supernatural, Rivers discovered that the area had been closed off to the public rather suddenly.

"You'll have to excuse me a moment, kids.", he said. "I have to check with the curator about this."

"I've got a bad feeling about this.", Sabrina Spellman whispered to her boyfriend, Harvey Kinkle. "I had heard there was a robbery in the area overnight."

"So did I, honey.", Harvey whispered back. "I think this was the place."

Moments later, Rivers returned, and, it turned out, Harvey was right.

"I've spoken with Mr. Ballantine, the curator. The police cordoned off this area after someone came in here last night and stole a number of artifacts.", Rivers said. "I'm afraid you're going to have to head for home. The tour ends here."

"What exactly was taken, Mr. Rivers?", Reggie Mantle asked, sensing a story for the school paper.

"I'm not at liberty to discuss that at the moment, Mr. Mantle. I have orders from Mr. Ballantine to close the museum at once, and it will remain closed until further notice."

Later that afternoon, at New Dimensions Fashions, Veronica Lodge, Betty Cooper, and Sabrina discussed the case.

"I don't see why Mr. Rivers clammed up all of a sudden when Reggie asked him what was stolen." Veronica said. "Reggie was just doing what a reporter should do."

"Agreed.", Sabrina replied. "Apparently, the police were still investigating, and didn't want anyone finding out before they went before the media."

"That's exactly what happened.", Barbara Schubert said as she joined her three employees. "According to Detective Coulson, an old mask reputed to have been worn by a sorceress named Clothilde was among the items stolen, along with a couple of ancient tomes on the art of witchcraft."

    "Who was Clothilde?", Veronica asked.

"She was known as the Wind Witch.", Barbara replied, realizing that Sabrina couldn't answer, out of fear of revealing her own nature to Veronica, since Betty & Barbara were the only ones who knew she was a witch herself. "I believe she operated in the Northwest or Midwest in the 15th century."

"And that means trouble if the mask has fallen into the wrong hands.", Sabrina thought to herself.
Around the same time, Velma Dinkley and Fred Jones, two noted paranormal investigators, had interviewed Rivers and Ballantine. Velma did an online search on her laptop for Clothilde, and found.........

"She was actually based around these parts, but moved across the country, using her magic. The mask was grafted onto her face when they burned her at the stake hundreds of years ago.", she told Fred.

"For all we know, the mask stolen from the museum could still be a fake, and the thief, thinking it's worth a fortune, will have a hard time selling it.", Fred replied. "Our next stop is police headquarters."

Fred & Velma returned to the Mystery Machine, their mobile base of operations. Norville "Shaggy" Rogers was at the wheel.

"I'm all for letting the cops handle this one.", he said. "It's enough that we know this is not a supernatural case after all."

"I'm afraid it may still be one.", Fred replied as he settled in the backseat, alongside Daphne Blake, who had been feeling ill. "If the legends are true, Clothilde's ghost may be looking for the mask."

"I wish you hadn't said that."
"I have a delivery for Alexandra Cabot. Sign here, please."

Alexander Cabot, Alexandra's twin brother, signed for courier Archer Baldwin of the Fast Track Delivery Service, and accepted a package, then went into the mansion. Alexandra had heard the doorbell, but was in the bathtub. Clad only in a towel, she took the package from Alex and headed straight for her bedroom.

"Just what did you order this time?", Alex asked.

"Never mind, brother.", came the reply. "None of your business."

In the safety of her room, Alexandra ripped open the package.

"Durrell said he'd found something that was perhaps a means of getting my powers back.", she thought to herself. Alexandra, you see, was also a witch, but had been stripped of her powers by the Witches' Council several years earlier when her selfish coveting of Alan Mayberry, the road manager for Josie & the Pussycats, who'd been dating singer Josie McCoy, had led to more trouble than was necessary, and subverted her own mission. However, as she opened the box, Alexandra found..........

"An old magician's wand?", she gasped. "I knew Durrell was an idiot, around Alex's IQ level, but this is ridiculous!!!"

Furious, she tossed the wand into the garbage.

"This wasn't what I was after, and he knew it. They complained about me being selfish? What about Ralph Durrell?!?"

A short time later, Alexandra received an e-mail from Durrell:

The object you seek was not to be had when I was in Salem last week. I had to settle for the wand because I felt that if you use it and recite your old incantations, you may still be able to get your powers back. You just have to have faith in your abilities. The wand may lead you to the mask of Clothilde after all.

Alexandra walked back to the waste basket, and pulled the wand.

"Maybe he's right after all.", she thought. "I do have a few old spells in my notebook I can pull to test it."
"A fellow walked in with this package this morning, looking to sell it."

Olga Ocula, Sabrina's cousin, a fortune teller and novelty shop owner, was speaking with Lt. Nelson Pierce of the Riverdale PD's Major Crimes Unit.

"I remembered reading that this had been stolen from MASM about a week ago, so I had him sign the guest book, and I would work out the details of a financial settlement, once this was returned to MASM.", she continued.

"A sound strategy, Ms. Ocula.", Pierce replied. "An even better one was calling me to help." He then turned to the guest book. The only customer's name on the list for that day was the man that brought the mask in.

"Can you provide a description of this man?", Pierce asked.

    "Yes, I can."
Ok, here's what we know. The mask of Clothilde, the Wind Witch, was stolen. The thief then tried to sell it to Olga, who opted to broker a deal instead, with help from the police. We know Alexandra wants the mask, but in chapter 2, you won't believe who ends up with it.

Great start to this story hobbyfan; I have a feeling a certain red headed sleuth is going to be featured prominently, as this reminds me of the scooby and scrappy episode with the lady vampire where daphne wasn't feeling well through most of the episode.

Shaggy and scooby thought she was the vampire because of her hair, but as the episode neared its end, daphne felt much better as the real vampire had been captured.

As I've mentioned previously to you here and at your blog, I've had thoughts about doing stories with the mystery inc. gang taking on the supernatural for real; I guess you must have had the idea too as chapter 1 is looking that way.

I can't wait to see what you come up with next.

Bear in mind, dude, that there's more than one redhead in this story, and the mask could fall into the possession of just about anyone............

Whoops... I guess I forgot that there are two redheads in this story, my bad.

I was thinking about that scooby and scrappy episode with the lady vampire like I mentioned before, and with daphne being sidelined because she's not feeling well, I figured it would be a similar plot.

But I guess not; in any case, I'm looking forward to what you come up with next. Which reminds me, sometime I'll return to writing my fan fiction stories.

After reading your stories here, I might even post a few I worked on in the future here. I don't know when though.

    Chapter 2:

Alexandra spent most of the evening in a long closed section of the mansion, trying to recite the incantations she had stored away in her book of spells, which was nothing more than a notebook that she had kept hidden away from Alex and everyone else. However, it turned out, her first impulse to dispose of the wand she'd received was the right one, as the wand did exactly nothing. Angry, she snapped the wand in two, and tossed it into a waste basket. A piece of paper fell from inside the wand, and dropped harmlessly to the floor. That caught Alexandra's attention.

"Alexandra", the note read, "The wand was just a means of getting this note to you without arousing suspicions. Alcazar, the self-described king of the warlocks, desired the mask, not so much for himself, but for his ailing wife, so that she would house Clothilde's spirit. News has reached him, also, that the mask was procured by another party, and he will hunt for it himself, by any means necessary."

"So the rich would get richer.", Alexandra thought. "Alcazar was the one who insisted I be stripped of my powers years ago, when his own wife was more than willing to cheat on him if she wanted to, and wouldn't have suffered any consequences because she's supposedly royalty among witches. What better way to gain revenge on Alcazar, then. I can find the mask and use it myself. Clothilde and I together would be unstoppable!"

Upstairs, Alex was entertaining Pussycats drummer Melody Valentine, his date for the evening. Alexandra's familiar, Sebastian, the band's mascot, quietly laid on Melody's lap as she stroked his fur.

"So, where is Alexandra tonight?", she asked. "It's not like her to leave Sebastian at home."

"I honestly don't know.", Alex replied. "I didn't see her leave, and, for that matter, it's just as well, since she'd be meddling with our relationship, just like she's tried to break Josie & Alan up for forever."

A few minutes later, the couple left to take in a movie, and Sebastian wandered upstairs to Alexandra's room. There, he found a stranger, rifling through Alexandra's belongings. With his fur raised, Sebastian ran downstairs. He knew where his mistress was, after all. Finding Alexandra, Sebastian quickly gestured the presence of an intruder.

"Good night!", Alexandra exclaimed. "I am not ready for any of this now!"

She raced upstairs, but the intruder appeared to have vanished. Seeing her dresser drawers opened, Alexandra & Sebastian quickly cleaned up the mess. Abruptly, Sebastian's fur was raised again, as he sensed another presence.....

"Where is the mask?", the man demanded.

"Good question. I'd like to know the answer myself.", Alexandra replied. "My courier wasn't able to acquire it in the time allotted."

"Wrong answer, fool! I know it is here!", the intruder roared. "Where is it?"

"What part of 'I don't have it' didn't you understand?"

"Impudent wench! You will learn your place!"

Abruptly, he clamped his hand over Alexandra's mouth, and a fine gas issued from his hand, rendering her unconscious.
Back in Riverdale, Corey Rivers signed the papers to regain possession of the mask from Chief Robert Bolling. The suspect, Emmanuel Seabrook, had been taken into custody merely two hours earlier, but would not disclose who'd hired him to secure the mask, asking instead for a lawyer. Rivers had left police headquarters, heading back to MASM, when a flock of ravens descended upon the car, forcing it off the road and into a nearby embankment. Rivers hit his head on the steering wheel, knocking himself out. Seconds later, a well dressed man in a black trenchcoat emerged from the darkness, and was able to break into the car and claim the mask.

"Now! Now, it is mine!", Joseph Alcazar declared. "The mask of Clothilde is mine!!!"

"Don't be so sure of that! It's still stolen property until it's returned to its rightful place!"

Mystyk and Superteen, two of Riverdale's defenders, had descended on the scene in record time, but kept a safe distance, aware of the power their foe wielded.

"I assure you, young ladies, it is in its rightful place.", Alcazar claimed. "In my hands! It's my property now, and you know what they say. Possession is 9/10ths of the law!"

Abruptly, Alcazar disappeared, his boastful laughter fading with him.

"Better check on Mr. Rivers, Superteen.", Mystyk said. "He may need medical attention."
"I didn't know you'd taken up a singing career, Daphne."

Josie had greeted Daphne and the Mystery, Inc. team for the first time in several years, but word had gotten out that Daphne had sat in with the Hex Girls on a couple of occasions.

"The Hex Girls are friends of ours.", Daphne replied, as Fred attended to her. "Just a couple of concert gigs, no studio work."

"Maybe you could sit in with us, and so could Shaggy.", Valerie Smith offered. "I hear he plays a mean guitar."

"Just in a pinch.", Shaggy said, blushing. "I think Scooby could play bass."

Scooby-Doo shrugged and shook his head. He had an ego, but he wasn't about to compromise his reputation, questionable as it was, by trying to be a rock star. Abruptly, Alex and Melody arrived at the Go-Go Diner, frantic.

"I think we need to meet back at my place.", Alex said. "Something's happened to my sister!"

A few minutes later, the two groups met at the Cabot mansion, finding Alexandra all alone in the lobby, but something was definitely wrong with her.

    "N-n-n-no face!!", Scooby stammered.

"Scooby's right!", Daphne confirmed. "Alexandra's face is gone!"

Not only that, but Alexandra couldn't move, frozen in place. Melody found a note pinned to Alexandra's shoulder.

"It says here, boys and girls, that not only is her face gone, but her brain, too. That's why she's not moving.", she said, reading the note. She then handed it to Fred.

"It also says that this is punishment for tampering with things she doesn't understand or belong in. Something about the mask of Clothilde."

"That again.", said Shaggy. "What next?"

"I'll tell you what's next.", Mystyk said as she & Superteen arrived. "Because your friend does have her mind in place. It's simply dormant."

Introductions were made, and Mystyk probed Alexandra's now-dormant mind. Pressing her gloved fingers on Alexandra's temples, she cracked open what was really a mask made from the knockout gas. With the mask broken, so was the spell.

"Where am I?", Alexandra asked. Realizing her surroundings, she then filled the gang in, barely acknowledging the two masked newcomers.

"A man broke into my bedroom. Sebastian saw him, then went to get me. I come upstairs, find nothing, and the next thing I know, I'm down here frozen like a dummy. Now I know how Melody feels."

"Watch it, future sister-in-law. I'm no one's dummy!", Melody snapped.

    "Future sister-in-law?" Shaggy repeated.

"Yep. She & Alex have been dating. Of course, Alexandra doesn't like it, but she has to deal with it.", Valerie replied, chuckling.

"Oh, sure, laugh it up. They'll no longer be a couple inside of a year.", Alexandra retorted. "I'll see to that."

"Alexandra, you've got no say in the matter.", Melody snapped. "You can't lord it over Alex and I. We love each other."

"Oh, I can't lord it, huh?", Alexandra thought to herself. "That's what you think."
In Alcazar's lab, there stood a figurine molded in Alexandra's image. When Mystyk broke the mask over Alexandra's face, she also caused the figurine to break into several pieces. Alcazar was not pleased.

"Blast it! I have already lost her. I will have to re-establish the connection with my servitor, and soon, and add a few more along the way. Clothilde needs an army, after all!", he declared. He walked over to a plastic cylinder that contained the ancient mask.

"Soon, my dear, you and my wife will be joined together, giving her life, and you, power beyond imagination. I idolized you as a young warlock, and now, I will make your fondest wish come to life as well!"
Still, appearances have to be kept, and, despite his magic, Alcazar was unable to provide comfort for his wife, Sybil. He had to escort her to her doctor's appointment the next day, carrying the mask in the glove compartment of the car for safekeeping.

"She is dying, Mr. Alcazar.", Dr. Cyril Fellows said. "Have you tried any healing potions or herbs?"

"I have tried everything within my power, doctor.", Alcazar said. Fellows was an old college friend who was privy to his secrets. "For all my abilities, I cannot turn back time, as much as we witches and warlocks are supposed to do. You have been so supportive over the years, so caring, so willing to help."

"Well, between the two of us, we did give the university their arts & sciences building. I believe they're dedicating it in your name in about another week or two."

    "Really? Are you serious?

"Very. I believe the ultimate goal now is to ensure that your wife is healthy enough to be present for the dedication."

    "And so she will be."

Dr. Fellows wrote the necessary prescriptions, and Alcazar departed, but not before leaving a gift for the doctor in the form of leaving his young receptionist, Nancy Slater, a faceless, mindless drone, just like Alexandra was.

"I hate to do this, doctor, but this is to ensure your full cooperation going forward. Please drop Ms. Slater off at the Riverdale City College library after closing. I will see to her safety.", he said.

"You promised me once you wouldn't resort to this."

"Yes, I know, but you know what they say. Desperate times, and all that rot."

The Alcazars returned to the parking lot, but found that the car had been broken into, and the thief was escaping.

"Curse the luck. I should've taken her with us.", Alcazar thought, "But she isn't ready for her new job."

It was getting dark, and the thief, Vince Curozzi, had reached the alley near Pop's Place. The mask was glowing under its foil covering, which Curozzi assumed was because of the full moon. Unsurprisingly, his curiosity over the mask distracted him from noticing that Superteen had made the scene.

"I don't think you realize what you've got, fella.", she said as she took him skyward, causing him to drop the mask. But, before she could reverse course and retrieve the mask, Superteen saw Veronica Lodge, who had followed, enter the alley.

"Oh, no! Can't let that happen!", she thought.

She placed Curozzi on a streetlight, then raced back for the mask, just as Veronica was reaching for it.

"What is this?", Veronica wondered as she opened the foil, only to be pushed aside by Superteen.

"I am sorry, Ms. Lodge, but this is too dangerous for you to handle. I have to return it to the police.", the crimson clad crimestopper said. She wrapped up the mask in the foil anew, but suddenly, the mask burst from the foil, and lifted skyward. Bolstered by the full moon, the empty eyes of the mask lit up, as the ghost of Clothilde appeared, reunited with the mask.

"At long last, I am whole again!", she declared. "That fool Alcazar thought to control me by housing me in his frail wife's body, thinking I would keep her alive! I belong to no one! Not now! Not ever again!"

Clothilde didn't seem to pay much attention to Superteen or Veronica as she continued to rise into the night sky. Whatever she had planned, everyone would know about, soon enough.
Well, you didn't see that coming, did you?

    Chapter 3:

Superteen & Veronica could only watch as Clothilde continued to float into the air, until she was out of sight. Seconds later, Superteen was gone, too, and Veronica assumed she'd gone after Clothilde at super speed. Veronica started back down the alley until she was flagged down by Reggie, who took her back to Pop's Place. The heiress quickly filled Reggie in on what had happened.

"If we're lucky, doll, we can still catch up to Superteen!", he exclaimed as they raced off.

However, Superteen had not gone after Clothilde after all. Instead, the masked maiden had returned to New Dimensions Fashions, where she resumed her other identity as Betty, just in time for closing time.

    "Find anything?", Sabrina asked.

"I'll tell you about it on the way home in the car.", Betty replied. "Can't discuss it here with Chloe and Emily here."

Meanwhile, Dr. Fellows had dropped Nancy off at the library, as planned. Alcazar arrived minutes later, and hustled Nancy into his car.

"I will take good care of her, doctor, as promised.", he said. "We'll see you soon."

Nancy shuddered slightly as Alcazar fastened her seat belt. He then rendered her unconscious.

"By the time you awaken, my dear, you will forget your true identity, and you will be my loyal soldier. We have a job to do.", he said.
Meanwhile, back at Pop's, the Archies and the Pussycats compared notes with Mystery, Inc. on the case. Fred, predictably, was setting up the usual teams, forgetting that there were three teams. Archie Andrews solved that problem.

"Shaggy & Jughead can be one team, taking Hot Dog & Scooby with them.", he said. "Hot Dog's a good tracker, and........"

Archie was cut off as Betty & Sabrina arrived, and were quickly briefed. Of course, the gang didn't know they already had the clues.

"There's enough of us to cover the city.", Sabrina suggested. "We can all go in small groups."

"An excellent idea, Sabrina.", Archie replied.

"Melody & I will be one team.", Alex offered. "I've got room in my car for 2 more people."

"Hope you've got room for the dogs, Alex, because we're going with you.", Shaggy said.

As Alex, Melody, Shaggy, Scooby, Jughead, & Hot Dog left, Reggie took Veronica, Josie, & Alan with him. Alexandra, sensing an opportunity, decided to team with Fred, Daphne, & Velma, taking Sebastian with them. That left Archie with Betty, Sabrina, & Valerie.

"What should we be on the lookout for?", Archie asked.

"Clothilde herself.", Sabrina replied. "From what I understand, her spirit had been housed inside the mask the entire time. She's come back to life, or, in this case, afterlife, and who knows what she could be after."
In the Riverdale Public Library, Clothilde took advantage of her ghostly state to enter, and search out some books on modern day witchcraft.

"I was right.", she thought. "I knew Alcazar's bloodline extended all the way back to my time. Now, that simpering fool seeks to use me to obtain more power? He's even more of a fool than I had imagined. His quest will only bring about his doom!"

Meanwhile, the Alcazars had performed an incantation that transferred Sybil's powers to Nancy. Joseph then removed Nancy's mask, revealing that the receptionist's face was now gone, save for her eyes, which had turned black.

"I am old and weak.", Sybil said. "You are young and vital, especially vital to our cause, now that we know Clothilde seeks to destroy us. Through you, we can finish that which our ancestors began nearly 600 years ago!"

Nancy could no longer speak, and simply nodded her head. Joseph placed a red veil over her head, leaving her eyes exposed. She had been outfitted with a matching dress, tights, and black shoes.

"Come, dear child.", Joseph said. "The end game is about to begin."
In chapter 4, an ancient feud comes to a head, unless our three teams can stop it before it starts.

    Chapter 4:

It was now Halloween, and things had gone strangely quiet. In the interim, Sybil Alcazar had died, leaving her husband alone with the newly transformed Nancy. On Halloween, Joseph Alcazar looked at the calendar, then the clock in his lab.

"It is time, my dear.", he said. "The end game is upon us."

Nancy silently nodded, and followed her master out of the lab.

As the sun set over Riverdale, Clothilde appeared in Goldwater Park, and openly challenged Alcazar to appear.

"You want me, Joseph Alcazar? Come and get me!!", she screamed.

Alcazar wasn't the only one who arrived mere minutes later. The Mystery Machine pulled up about a block away, with a couple of extra passengers in Veronica & Reggie, while the Pussycats arrived in their van. Not far away, Mystyk, Superteen, Captain Hero, & Pureheart the Powerful had gathered on the roof of City Hall.

"I will not have this city torn apart by some battle between two visiting sorcerers and you lot.", Deputy Mayor Joanne Martinez declared. "Make sure there isn't a mess!!"

"We'll do our job as efficiently as possible.", Pureheart declared as the four masked adventurers sped off.

"She doesn't like us much, does she?", Mystyk asked Superteen.

"I don't think she knows us very well.", came the reply.

"Fan out!", Pureheart called. "Either one of them are capable to stopping us on their own!"

Alcazar saw Superteen racing toward him, and braced himself, removing one glove. However, Clothilde cut him off with a mystic bolt that sent him into the alley.

"Oh, no, you don't! You've already subjugated one of these mortals, and that will be enough!", she exclaimed. "By the end of this, the truth will be revealed."

"We know the truth, Clothilde.", said a voice.

    "Who's there? Show yourself!!"

Velma had exited the Mystery Machine, carrying a folder containing some information she'd gathered online.

"I did some research. It seems that Alcazar's ancestors framed you and sentenced you to death for crimes they committed. I dug further, and found that they'd stolen your land. They weren't satisfied with that, since they knew you'd testify against them at trial. That's why they accused you of being a witch.", she said.

"And they were the only ones.", Mystyk added as she landed. "They had to bribe a few people to turn against you. Ironically, they used their magic to frame you, but at the same time, they hid their own powers from the townsfolk."

"Lies! All lies!", Alcazar raged. "You would believe these mortal children?"

"Yes, I do!!", Clothilde shot back. "After all these years, all these centuries, your legacy of deception is undone!"

Alcazar turned, but Nancy was gone. She was now on the roof, where Superteen was joined by Alexandra.

"If there was a way we could reverse this.", Superteen said. "No one should have to suffer like this."

"No, they don't have to.", Alexandra replied. "It was almost me ending up in this position. Fortunately, I know how to break this spell."

Alexandra recited a modest incantation, and all at once the air around Nancy shimmered. The ghost of Sybil Alcazar had been housed in her body since Sybil had died, and when Sybil was cast out, Nancy was restored to her normal form.

    "Wh--Where am I?", she wondered.

"We'll get you home safe and sound soon.", Alexandra promised.

Soon, the three women descended back to the ground. At that moment, Alcazar had made his final move, trapping both Mystyk & Clothilde in an airless bubble.

"Let this be a lesson to you mortals.", he thundered. "Your town sorceress and Clothilde are not a match for my own mystic might, and neither are you!!"

"Oh yeah? Try this on for size!!!", Scooby-Doo called as he raced toward the bubble.

"Scooby! No!" Daphne called. But the great dane leaped toward the bubble, paws out. Alcazar swatted him aside as if he were a fly.

"I will not have this!", Alexandra thought. "Alcazar is my enemy, too, and he has to fall!"

In a quick burst of power, Alexandra fired a bolt of energy toward the bubble, freeing Mystyk & Clothilde. A second blast, coupled with a psi-bolt from Mystyk, rendered Alcazar unconscious.

"You have got to be kidding me!", Josie exclaimed. "You, Alexandra? A witch?"

"Always had been, until Alcazar stripped me of my powers. It wasn't because I coveted Alan, like he said. No, it was because I wasn't worthy. It turned out to be a bit of a mind game with him."

Mystyk breathed a sigh of relief as she and her team left. Her secrets, at least, were safe.

"I don't know who she is under her mask.", Alexandra said of Mystyk, "But I do know a kindred spirit when I see one."

"Take a look at this!", Valerie exclaimed.

Everyone turned to see Alcazar reduced to dust, which now blew with the night winds.

"Alcazar should've died long ago, for it was he who framed me.", Clothilde said, removing her mask to reveal a beautiful woman, who no longer bore the scars of the mask being nailed into her flesh. "I took up witchcraft, true, but I sought to practice in secret, as Alexandra did. Alcazar learned of my existence, and found a patsy for his schemes. Now, I can rest in peace."

With that, Clothilde disappeared, this time for good, leaving the mask behind.
The concert took place the next night to a sell-out crowd. On Sunday, the Pussycats and Mystery Inc. headed for home. But before that, Alexandra paid a call on Sabrina.

"I hated to go public like I did on Friday night.", she said. "But it was something that I had to do."

"Because Alcazar coveted more power than he deserved?", Sabrina asked.

"Absolutely. He saw how I was being more passive, using my powers mostly for pranks, and personal needs, not worldly interests. I came to you because beneath all of this, you and I are actually sisters of a fashion."

"We share the same coven, but hardly meet. It seems time has allowed you to consider the consequences of your actions."

"We are alike, Sabrina. We have been around mortals too much to work against them. We have feelings, too, even if witch law prohibits the union of witches & mortals. Look at that one in Connecticut, for example."

    "I know what you mean."

"I caution, Sabrina, that the next time we meet, it may be as enemies, depending on the situation."

"I hope it doesn't come to that, Alexandra."
    But it may, someday.

    The end.

Sorry for taking so long to reply to this(especially since the story was finished on November 26th, and this is december 16th, at least when I'm writing this).

Yet another well done story from you hobbyfan. I enjoyed it thoroughly as a crossover with scooby and company, Archie and friends, Josie and the pussycats and Sabrina the teenage witch is something that should have been made a long time ago.

But unfortunately due to different companies as far as television and comic books go, that could never happen and it would probably have never happened.

However, fan fiction does not have those restrictions, which means a mega crossover like this can happen any time someone chooses to put fingers to keyboard.

Speaking of which, I think I caught a reference to bewitched in the last chapter(as I think that series was set in Connecticut if memory serves).

Anyway, great job here and I look forward to seeing what you come up with next. Seeing this by the way reminds me that I really need to get my fan fiction writing going again; I probably will sometime as I usually have quite a bit of free time in between running errands with my folks, doing chores and stuff like that.

The thing is, I rushed the finish since it took so long between chapters. And, yes, I threw in a reference to Bewitched, which was in fact set in Connecticut, because without it, I don't think Sabrina would've ever made it to television. The next story probably won't start until after the 1st of the year.

Don't worry about it, as the finish turned out to be pretty good anyway; as for Sabrina running into the magically endowed Alexandra(I know that could have double meaning but in this case I mean her being a witch), that would make for quite an interesting story.

Too true on bewitched; I thought I had read somewhere the show was set in Connecticut as well. I might have read somewhere it was set in New York, but I'm probably wrong on that.

I can sympathize on taking a while between chapters; there's a ton of works on fan fiction.net that haven't updated in a couple years at least. I should update more often, but there are periods where I don't write anything at all, or I get working on something else, etc.

What might've confused you was that Darrin's job was in New York, and he commuted from Connecticut every morning.

Oh yeah, I guess I forgot about that.

I've watched bewitched a number of times, but I guess I never really payed attention to that fact.
