Why doesn't Disney Channel Switch to being fully ad-supported?

Currently, the only form of advertising on Disney Channel is heavily curated sponsorships produced by the Network itself, rather than traditional ad buy-ins. These are becoming more and more common in Disney Channel breaks. It begs the question, what's the point in doing this anymore? If Disney Channel is going to let other companies advertise their stuff on the channel, you might as well become fully ad supported at that point. It's strange because Disney Channel is the only Disney network aside from Junior (who at least has an excuse, since they're a preschool network) that isn't traditionally ad-supported. Maybe Disney wants complete control over how products are advertised on Disney Channel, which would make sense, as Disney is known for keeping a tight leash on it's products.

What's interesting is also the fact that Disney US is the only Disney Channel in the world afaik without traditional ad breaks, yet the various feeds around the world that do carry a lot of ads (especially in EMEA/CEE/UK region) have feeds with inferior quality even though it should be the other way around.

Back in 2000, Disney started to allow ads on some of their services, but only allowed it for Disney.com, Radio Disney, Disney Magazine and Toon Disney. In 2002, there were talks about giving Disney Channel advertisements, but after Anne Sweeney took over as the COO, the plans fell through and it has stayed that way ever since.

Disney Channel India (and other Indian channels) show ads for over 10 minutes during breaks. It's really annoying when they show ads for so long.
