Yes. That was already mentioned earlier in the thread (see Matthew Williams' post).

The changing of the team leader's name from 'Buzz' to 'Ace' had nothing to do with fan complaints, however: the name was changed because a Dutch freelance illustrator named Metin Seven had already copyrighted a character named 'Buzz Bunny'.

In any event, the character redesigns didn't help, though. In fact, the characters' looks were the least of LU's troubles.

Well, for me, LU is teh shite, minus some pandering characters and over-the-top plot points.

I'm very fond of how LT portrays the contemporary American version of socialism and it's dealt with ordinary things in life, since myself is a socialist. (Isn't ACME supposed to be a satire of either sovietic, american or german engineering, b'cos it always backfires, no?!)

LU is like LT, but more formulaic and with d-o-u-c-h-e sauce so much that you will vomit the first episode through (OMG! PUNS!!!), but it's passable when eps like "Apocalypso" and "Family Business" is on.
But for me, a feminist, I wanted a certain skunk being ass-kicked by a certain pussycat. And it never came. What a disappointment! What happened?!

To be anal, the Zoo Crew hail from the parallel world of Earth-C; Earth-C-Minus was the home of the "Just'a Lotta Animals", and was a funny-animal version of Earth-1/the mainstream DCU and its events. But yeah, Loonatics couldn't exist in the Zoo Crew's future, given it has actual humans present ... if anything, I imagine like here, it'd just be some action TV show in the Zoo Crew's world mean that, erm, also flopped. ;-)

(RODNEY RABBIT: (being forced to write and draw the Earth-C DC Comics adaption of Loonatics Unleashed) Sizzlin' celery sticks! What a chore drawing *this* train wreck will be. And why do we need an adaptation---couldn't this thing be a backup story in the main Looney Tunes comic we already publish?! Too bad Joe Stagton or Grunt Morrison won't touch this thing...even if Grunt wasn't busy with "All-Star Super-Squirrel"...)

Too bad Warner Bros. never had the chance to make a "Captain Carrot and His Amazing Zoo Crew" cartoon series.

I would think that the characters being the descendants and not the actual Looney Tunes would make it so there is no problem at all. how is this show betraying the spirit of Looney Tunes with that in mind? this seems like it may be beating a dead horse but from my own experience, there is still some tension between the show's fans and anti-fans.

New User? =/ Old thread? Huh? Ooooh....

I actually enjoyed Loonatic Unleashed. I enjoyed the classics and TLTS as well, heh even Space Jam and Tiny Toon Adventures. So, it's simple to say I'm a general fan. I'd say the anguish towards LU is similar to Teen Titans(2003).

It felt like Beast Wars. This characters are descendants to the ancestors that we're familar with today. Hehe, and even Beast Wars received some flack. I didn't watch every ep of LU, but I like the upgrade they gave Ace in season 2. Intro song was better in season 1 though imo.

I was a fan, watched almost every episode. Didn't see anything wrong.

In 2014, I see LU now as the proto-Teen Titans Go!/Bravest Warriors.

I would like a reboot done right.

...And those shows aren't very good either.

I like Looney Tunes. I like super hero action shows, but I have no desire to see Looney Tunes as a super hero action show. It's 2 great tastes that taste weird together. Loonatics Unleashed might, repeat, might have worked had it been done as a 100% comedy, like "The Just-Us League of Super Toons: The Series", but the action-y elements and the Looney Tunes elements just didn't gel, hard as the producers tried.

No. Just no. There are so many better ideas that Warner Brothers could be doing with the Looney Tunes characters and franchise than to try and reboot Loonatics Unleashed. If Wabbit does well, I'd like to see a "Duck" animated series starring Daffy Duck.

Folks, Warner Brothers has moved on from Loonatics Unleashed. I think that we should also. LU is part of WB's dark past, and it should stay there.

Not gonna happen. LU was a critical and commercial disaster. It's regarded as a huge egg on the face of Warner Brothers Animation and even today the very mention of its' name sends Looney Tunes purists into a blind fury.

There will be a Burger King on Jupiter before we ever get a reboot of Loonatics Unleashed.

since someone replied to this thread recently and I'm not the one bumping it after years, I still don't understand the problem people have with this show if they are separate characters.

Loonatics Unleashed ended 7 years ago and this thread is 4 years old. Jumping to the shows' defense now is like locking up the barn door after the horses have escaped.
