Again, I will stress "Scooby Goes Hollywood", a prime-time special w/o Scrappy that aired in December 1979. Mostly comedy skits, and no mysteries. The ratings must've been such that ABC decided this was the direction to take, subbing Scrappy for Fred, Daphne, & Velma, and looking for a 3 Stooges kind of vibe. They finally gave up that experiment when Daphne returned in 1983.

Did it happen to have THIS quote?
And did he say anything else that might hint at the reason why?

I kind of wander when does this Scrappy hatedom start myself and I think it's ridiculous. I mean, I never even knew Scrappy Doo receives until I saw a live action version of Scooby Doo. I was shocked, because I kind of grew up with Scrappy Doo. Nobody has to like him, but find this hatred outbreak of Scrappy Doo isn't necessary imho.
