    I was born on September 10, 1970.

    US: War - Edwin Starr
UK: Tears Of A Clown - Smokey Robinson & The Miracles
AUS: In The Summertime - The Mixtures

The first two songs I liked. The third, not so much.

    War-huh
    What is it good for?
    Absolutely nothing

    Ugh, Alison's version is awful.

Keith's original on the other hand, brilliant.

Younger birthdays (even by only a few short years) make me feel old because I know the songs and they don't. Older birthdays (mostly from the 70s) make me laugh as I watch the posters' reactions. I guess it balances out. I've got kind of a mediocre turnout.

    12 June 1981 (so just like poster 80s guy's June 9th set):

USA: Bette Davis Eyes - Kim Carnes (cute....how very...80s)
UK: Being With You - Smokey Robinson (There ya go!)
AU: Jealous Guy - Roxy Music (I dunno)

There's no excuse for that. You're like my age. :p

The Beach Boys are an incredibly important part of dork music for like 3 decades oh forget it I feel old.

Kinda. Boyz II Men were very '90s significant.

That was my favorite favorite song that year. They were pretty much nobody from what I remember but they had a nice sound. Wow you really can't get much from this except a laugh huh? I did what the site recommended and did my 18th birthday as if that's significant. In 1999?? Oooh I wouldn't. It was Livin La Vida Loca by Ricki Martin!! LOL.

    Happy Vida Loca everybody.

Oh, believe me I know who the Beach Boys are. I just don't like that song. I think it's annoying. I like older music (one of my favorite bands is the Who). ;)

    9 July 1960:

Alley-Oop -- The Hollywood Argyles (USA)
Good Timin' -- Jimmy Jones (UK)
    Everybody's Somebody's Fool -- Connie Francis (Australia)

I'm not even sure if I can even find these songs easily.

"Oh, my love, my darling, I hunger, hunger for your touch, a long lonely time". I only know it because LeAnn Rimes covered it.

My mom says that it was Bette Davis Eyes. Wikipedia says that song was released on April 9th, 1981. So it's possible that on May 14th, 1981 it was the #1 song.
