    Have you ever done this?

Some people believe our lives are profoundly influenced by whatever pop song was #1 on the day we were born.

    My number #1's are:
'You're So Vain' by Carly Simon in the US
'Long Haired Lover From Liverpool' by Little Jimmy Osmond in the UK
'Ben' by Michael Jackson in Australia

The UK option wouldn't work for me, which kinda sucks as I'm Irish and that'd probably be the most relevent. So that leaves me with...

US: Say Say Say - Paul McCartney & Micheal Jackson
AUS: All Night Long (All Night) - Lionel Richie

US & UK: I Will Always Love You - Whitney Houston
AUS: End Of The Road - Boyz II Men

I'm sure that says a lot about me. I'm not sure exactly what, but, you know, somethin'.

Also, is it odd I have absolutely no idea who Boyz II Men are? 'cuz it doesn't ring a bell.

    December 2, 1986

USA - Peter Cetara and Amy Grant, "The Next Time I Fall"
UK - Europe, "The Final Countdown"
AUS - John Farnham, "You're the Voice"

The only one I've heard is the Europe one, and I consider it one of the best worst songs of the 1980s. 12/2/86 was also the day Jerry Lee Lewis checked himself into rehab for his painkiller addiction, so I guess there's that too.
