Seriously, what is their secret? How do they keep idiots and trolls from showing up when it's generally accepted as inevitable on EVERY website? How do they attract a crowd of intelligent and witty people EXCLUSIVELY? It's just scroll after scroll of absolute gold.

These are from the comment section for the Super Bowl ads. Again....why is this comment section so GOOD when just about every other one is so bad?

At our morning meeting we watched the Baby Puppy Monkey commercial, and I was left truly shaken.

What, no discussion of the walking Gumby-like intestine with severe diarrhea?

That one won the WTF Derby at my friend's Super Bowl party. My wife is still traumatized by puppy monkey baby.

My friend's 20 year old daughter pointed out that "you wouldn't exist but for a Super Bowl win" included either people old enough to roll their eyes at the whole thing or kids too young to be skeeved. That's why, Twitterverse, there were no kids in Pats gear.

What's the deal with Super Bowl commercials and the crappy usage of children in them??

          Last year it was

          Nationwide, your kid just died

          and this year it was

Football porn's what got you born

My favorite doctors are the ones who over-prescribe opiates, rather than send those patients to pain management specialists, then cut the patients off when they get addicted, rather than direct them to treatment, so the patients become heroin addicts because heroin is so much cheaper than black-market pills, and take no responsibility and make no effort to change their prescribing habits. Hippocratic oath, my ass.

Around here in heroin country, seeing 'medication to relieve your opiate-induced bound-uppedness' seems like the sort of product that would be low in the needs of most users. However, I think the NFL's target demographic the sort of well off enough old white guy/gal whose doctor will continue to prescribe opiates because 'he's not a hop head like all those other deadbeats.'

I love the "let's create a drug to treat the problems caused by another drug" products. Awesome.

Looking forward to future super bowl ads where a man loads up on hysingla ER and then pops a bugBgonn and millions of imaginary cgi spiders under his skin scurry away. One, probably with a stogie and dickies work pant, looks right into the camera and says "what's the big idea?!"

Then Jennifer Lawrence's soothing snarks remind us it's a new era where you don't have to put up with the tingly winglets any more, brosef, when you need the fast relief of dropping a parachute on your troubles

I like that little intestine dude! His face carries so much pathos. I genuinely feel sorry that he's about to **** all over the place. Poor guy.

The IBS medicine one was my favorite. The cgi bowel looked so happy I loved him.

Something Awful alums on Youtube (retsupurae, Chipcheezum, TieTuesday, etc.) are legitimately better. AV Club commenters are full of themselves more often than not.

I liked the Doritos commercial, excepting that it caused my wife to bring up the fact that I was apparently eating a hamburger during her delivery. I don't remember this and I'm trying to assure her that it was the drugs making her think that.

Peter was quoting one of the comments when he wrote that, though if the link took as long to load for you as it did me, I wouldn't blame you for not realizing that.
