Disney is known for creating timeless films and shows that can still be enjoyed years after their release. At least, most of the time. Sometimes however, Disney can try way too hard to be cool, hip, and/or edgy that it comes off as laughable and dated. What do you think is Disney's worst attempt at being "Hip with the kids"? It has to be a specific show or film, not simply a one off gag. The worst for me, has to be Quack Pack. Prior to DuckTales 17', the Duck triplets were never the most fleshed out characters, in fact they may as well have been one character, but Quack Pack somehow made the triplets even more one-dimensional by turning them into whiny, unlikable teenagers. With dialogue that consists of nothing but catchphrases and outdated slang. I get they wanted to modernize the boys for a modern audience. But I feel the new DuckTales series does a much better job at doing that, while still feeling timeless, and well-written. These kids just feel like every 90s family sitcom cliche rolled into one (or 3, but you get the point).

Unfortunately there are way too many.

    Quack Pack, as already mentioned
The Shnookums and Meat Funny Cartoon Show, because Ren & Stimpy are cool and edgy, aren't they?
American Dragon Jake Long. I was 9 years old when this premiered in Flanders. I am supposed to find this cool, but man... That teen speak is unbearable. The English version isn't any better.
The Buzz on Maggie. This is just like a tweencom, but then with bugs.
Most Disney Channel original series, obviously

Disney Channel's "Mickey Meows Club" segment where cats talk about the modern Mickey shorts is pretty cringeworthy

Also the whole "FriYAY!" thing DC & Disney Junior are doing

But at least they haven't done any dabbing or memes like "The floor is lava" like Nickelodeon has!

Nick is the undisputed king of trying to be cool

TBH, I've seen the show and it's not really a bad show IMHO.

If we're counting more than just TV shows, any issue of Disney Adventures past 1999. The Super Music Action Ready Team is one of the most embarrassing things they've done in any medium.

Reaching far back, I had a Disney album as a kid that featured a disco rendition of the Mickey Mouse Club theme. Disco had been dead for several years.

Have you ever seen Bonkers? It couldn't be further apart from Ren & Stimpy. Schnookums and Meat was their John K ripoff; Bonkers was closer to Roger Rabbit.

Woops, I think I don't remember Bonkers as much as I thought. They only aired the first season here, no repeats. In my memory it was just like Shnookums and Meat.

    Removed it from the list.

    Quack Pack: duh
Goof Troop: not as bad as Quack Pack but still pushing it.
    This puzzle.

As much as I like American Dragon, you could tell that they were trying so hard to be cool and hip with the kids with Jake using bad outdated slang. They toned that down in the second season, but the first season had way too much of that slang. I do think it was a good show and it really should have gotten a third season instead of a rushed finale, but they were still trying too hard to appeal to kids with it.

That and Disney screwed the show during its second season. In fact, elements of the scrapped third season were incorporated into the second season, hence why the finale was rushed.

That would explain a lot. It's a shame since the second season was a massive improvement from the first one and a third season could have made the show better. If they had an hour long finale, it could have possibly worked with just two seasons, but that show really needed another season to make it work.

The Proud Family. Lots of hip-hop slag I doubt anyone in real life actually uses. Oh and the promos for that show were also trying hard to be hip. "Penny has to train for this wack spelling bee. But she wants to go to this bomb diggity party"

In some old threads about American Dragon on here, I believe the director of season one said the slag were network mandates. So it's good Disney eased up on them on that during the second season.

Back in 2009, there were discussions going on about what XD meant. Is it eXtra Definition? eXtreme Digital? Or just a stupid smiley?

Turns out it was neither. Gary Marsh just thought XD sounded cool.

Almost forgot about Have a Laugh. Classic cartoons with meme-ish humor and Miley Cyrus music.

Are you sure you're not thinking of Blam? I thought Have a Laugh was just classic cartoons being edited down.

Blam was part of Have a Laugh. There were several types of Have a Laugh shorts. Most were okay, some ruined the original short. (like Blam for example)

Chicken Little was Disney's infamous attempt to try and copy Dreamworks' dryer more parody-esque format, and ended up rather clunky and somewhat mean spirited.
