Unless I'm missing something Howl's Moving Castle actually isn't out on Blu-Ray, & won't be for awhile. Disney is releasing Whisper of the Heart and Castle In the Sky alongside Arrietty in May, though.

I'm getting the FMA movie, a perfectly respectable adventure that's taken an excessive amount of flack for its supposed lack of polish. I liked its look at the screening I went to though. For manga, I got Cross Game volume 7 on Tuesday. Just one more to go and then it's done.

I also went to the website CD Japan and pre-ordered something...special. It wasn't cheap but if I don't buy anything else for awhile in exchange, fine. Subtitled or not, this is a movie I'll really enjoy seeing at its best. The rest will be nice to look at and will get more worthwhile if I follow through on my interest in learning to read Japanese (ah, incentive). In theory they'll get this to me by the end of July. I'll probably post an unboxing.

Whisper of the Heart on a blu-ray? I thought Disney didn't like that one very much (since it's not a fantasy).

I think it did well for them on DVD. It's constantly been in print since it was first released, which must be a good indicator of how steady sales are.

But ultimately, they're really just releasing the only available Ghibli blu-rays. Ghibli still hasn't made blu rays for a lot of their films. If I'm not mistaken, Nausicaa, Laputa, My Neighbours the Yamadas and Whisper of the Heart are the only ones Ghibli has released on blu-ray in Japan thus far, out of their pre-Howl's stuff.

America right now is just missing blu-rays for Howl's Moving Castle, My Neighbours the Yamadas and Tales of the Earthsea. Oh, and From Up on Poppy Hill also of course.

I need to do the same thing with all of my One Piece sets and my DBZ movie sets. The more space I have, the better.

I got the following manga: Bakuman Vol. 6-9 and Sailor Moon Vol. 4, I also have Bakuman Vol. 10 and Yu-Gi-Oh! Vol. 3-5 on backorder from Right Stuf, I'm worried about them not getting the Yu-Gi-Oh! volumes. I also got the following anime movies: Pokemon: Griatina and the Sky Warrior and Trigun: Badlands Rumble.

Finally getting a job has allowed me to finally build my collection. I've been following the Sailor Moon re-release consistently for the last couple of months and now I'll finally be caught up with my favorite manga, Bakuman, as well as starting to fill in the massive holes in my Yu-Gi-Oh! collection. I got the two movies because they were cheap at Walmart, $4 and $15 respectively. I've only seen the first 10 episodes of Trigun so I'm probably going to order the complete series next paycheck and watch that first.

I just bought Marvel Anime: X-Men on DVD and Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos on Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack after work today. My first ever Blu-Ray, now I need a player. I figured that since most Funimation Combo Packs had the exact same DVD's as the regular DVD release as opposed to the barebone garbage you see on most mainstream releases this one would too, and I was correct. Heck, it's two-discs and the box doesn't mention it nor does it say the DVD has bonus features, but it totally does.
