I recently fell in love with a band that plays retro pop tunes (think "The Wonders" from That Thing You Do!): The Red Button.

I came across a song while listening to satellite radio and tracked it down. There are only two albums out right now and I love the music on both of 'em!

Their latest CD is "As Far As Yesterday Goes" and even the cover art is retro! It looks a lot like pop album covers of the mid to late '60s did.

I love the title track, "Girl Don't", and "Caught In The Middle".

I've discovered a form of dance music called trance that has been around since the 1990's.

My favorites so far (and they're all on my iPods! :D ) are:

RAMsterdam by Ram (Jorn Van Dyenhoven Remix version)
Symphonica by Daniel Kandi & Timmus
Airwave by Rank 1 (Original Mix and RANK 1 vs. Dutchforce Remix versions)
Tuvan by Gaia (Original Mix and Andy Blueman Remix versions)
    Stellar by Gaia

The song Eulogy by Ben Kenney is the best song that I've heard in a while. :D

"Harder Than You Think" - Public Enemy
20 years later, these guys come out with a song that proves why they're still the best in the business.

"It's Your Last Shot" - Politics & Assassins
Heard this as a theme song for a WWE pay-per-view & instantly fell in love with it. Can't find any info about the band though.

    "BAD" - Michael Jackson
Listening to that Glee version made me wanna listen to the original.

I'm Shipping Up to Boston (live in Boston) - Dropkick Murphys

There's just something more epic about this version than the studio version.

    Right Now - SR71.

Anyone remember this one? One of many 00's-era punk anthems to fade away . . .

    Aloe Blacc - I Need A Dollar

Actually been listening to this for a few weeks as Jade Raymond( of Ubisoft ) was on Reviews on the Run recommended the show How To Make it in America. She also mentioned the theme song which happens to be I Need A Dollar and I've been in love with this song ever since.

Also been listening to a bit of Alexz Johnson. Not bad.

In honor of the passing of Davy Jones, I decided to pull out my CDs and play one of my favorite songs he sang with the Monkees:

"I Wanna Be Free" from their first album.
