Most bands are not able to make it to their 8th studio album. Even fewer do it with all their original band members. Only the best of the best can even make it this far. Some bands have produced some of their best work yet, and of all time (Pink Floyd) while some others slumped (Metallica) and there are bands just hitting this point in their career (Green Day). We've made it this far, so let's keep this going.

TZ, What Are You Listening To?

Here are some bands 8th albums... in case you wanted to listen to these:
Green Day - 21st Century Breakdown
Red Hot Chili Peppers - By the Way
Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon
    Metallica - St. Anger
    Queen - The Game

The Alan Parsons Project - "Sirius"+"Eye In The Sky" (One of the greatest songs ever.)
Steve Hackett - "The Air-Conditioned Nightmare"
    Kansas - "Song For America"
    Touchstone - "Being Hannah"
    Fleetwood Mac - "Earl Gray"

The new Asia album should be out in America soon, since I guess it's out in Europe now. Also heard that a new Disturbed album called Asylum is coming out sometime this year.

And Lazer, no one should ever have to listen to St. Anger. That'd just be cruel punishment. :p

    R.E.M. - "I'm Gonna DJ"

Even though it's fairly recent, it reminds me a lot of their earlier (much better) work.

Oh, don't worry, I know. I am very much aware of the dangers of that album. Thus, we have giving it the nickname St. Sh**. ;)

    "About A Girl"- Nirvana

    "Last Kiss"- Pearl Jam

    "Dig It A Hole"- U-Men.

A friend lent me a few vintage records he got in Seattle during the 90's, when the grunge scene was still active.

Ooh, that's one of my favorite songs(the original, not the live one from MTV Unplugged, even though it's pretty good as well). You can definitely hear that Beatles influence that Kurt Cobain was going for.

That Pearl Jam song is pretty good too.

I am only allowed to listen to Rise Against this week. anything from New to Old, but only Rise Against.

Heh, I'm just getting into them, thanks to the avatar you use elsewhere. Shame they've only got two albums, there's some good stuff on them.

I'm currently listening to "Mr. Crowley" by John "Ozzy" Osbourne, and before that I was listening to "Shot In The Dark", also by Ozzy.

Totally doesn't sound like the same band from 3 years ago.
