I liked the psychic battle between Rachael and Emma. It sounds like those two may actually start to get along or atleast tolerate each other. I was also surprised by the ending. I would have never expected that to happen.

I was surprised at how much I liked it. I didn't really expect much from the guest artist, but his art was pretty impressive. He lays out the story pretty well, and I like the way he illustrates effects such as Rachel and Emma's powers. His Emma was beautiful, and since she was well written too, it's getting really hard to hate her! She almost seems a bit overpowered if she can take on the Phoenix... Assuming that is Rachel's power (I'm not too familiar with her character).

Claremont did well this issue. Good dialouge. Except maybe for Selene. I wonder what crazy mess she's up to. I have an idea. I can't wait for the next issue to see more of this story.

It was pretty cool how they harkened back to Uncanny X-Men #129 in the Previously section.

I'm assuming this "abandoning" of the Hellfire Club occurred sometime between X-Treme and now, since Sebastian appeared back in X-Treme apparently still part of the club.

The art was fantastic, and he draws a great rendition of almost every character (especially Emma).

Story was pretty good too, surprisingly since I dont expect much from Claremont these days.

Oh and the cover is dreadful, did Marvel even look at it before printing?

Scott even visited the club to drink at the start of the "Assault on Weapon Plus" arc of New X-men, so it must have been rather recent indeed.

Surprisingly, I enjoyed this issue. I didn't like the cover though, so I guess I was expecting a poor issue, but I did like the battle that Emma and Rachel had. That was nicely done, and the nice twist with them seemingly working together finally. Emma certainly seems like someone you can never really figure out, or at least to me it seems that way.

I liked this issue more than I thought I would even thought the cliffhanger is just going to end up with a flat resolution. If they couldn't follow through with Sage being killed, then they won't allow Bishop to be a traitor. I'm sure it will be apart of some incredible hoax in the next issue. I thought the art was really nice here. Not as good as Alan Davis but it has a look that you find in alot of the Image books right now. It looked pretty sharp actually and not bad. I wouldn't mind seeing Parks return for another issue.

"Chasing Hellfire" Part 2 of 3. The X-Men, hot on the trail of Sage, find themselves in the sewers of Paris. But who’s really hunting whom?

I was surprised to see that Shaw is actually trying to be one of the good guys for a change. I wonder if this is going to be a permanent change for the Hell Fire Club or if it's only a temporary situation?

What is going on with Claremont? The storytelling here is completely non-sensical and even laughable, as characters develop and lose powers whenever the story calls for it. I think he's starting to slip here. And why would the nannites affect Wolverine more than everyone else? He does have the healing factor so he should be the first to recover not the one holding everyone back. What the heck?

And why is there a joker in a deck of cards at a casino? Now...shouldn't those be taken out? This issue just stunk and it worse than Claremont's X-Treme X-Men work. There's no consistency whatsoever in this story and it's really starting to hurt this title.

"Chasing Hellfire" Conclusion! The X-Men come face-to-face with the newly assembled Lords Cardinal of the sinister Hellfire Club! The Lords have just crowned a new Black King…and you’ll never guess who it is!

Solid conclusion, Claremont's Uncanny is finally picking up. Interesting twist at the end, anyways. Not a whole lot more to say on this, it was just so-so.

It was an okay issue. It's a bit hard to believe that Sage managed to mastermind this entire thing but otherwise it was a decent story.

Aside from the art which wasn't even that great, I thought this was another mediocre Claremont story. I hate how focus on Sage. I can't find anything to like about that character. She's so one-note, boring, and a waste of space. I'm starting to askmyself why I keep buying this comic because the last few issues just don't do it for me. Maybe it's Alan Davis' great artwork but I don't think it's for Claremont's script.
