The true flagship book of the X-Men returns. In the wake of the Phoenix, the world has changed and is torn on exactly what Cyclops and his team of X-Men are – visionary revolutionaries or dangerous terrorists? Whatever the truth, Cyclops, Emma Frost, Magneto, and Magik are out in the world gathering up new mutants and redefining the name Uncanny X-Men.

And that ends the Bendis era of the X-Men and like his stint on the books it was kinda all over the place. While the stuff with Bobby was good, although putting Jean in there again kinda taints everything, the rest of the issue wasn't as good. There were good ideas, but the execution was weak. That was the much-teased Trial of Hank McCoy? It amounts to a few minutes of Hank being berated and then him leaving in a huff. And Cyclop's revolution is just everyone showing up at the capitol? And what's worse is that if the crowd is all the mutants, that means the evil mutants are there too which goes against what Scott is trying to accomplish. And the all-new X-Men disbanding was expected. It just seemed like a really flat endings to the last few years of X-Men books and those few years weren't the best for the franchise either. Some big moments but overall pretty flat. Nothing really came out of Bendis' run on Uncanny or All-New. At least we got Uncanny X-Force (Remender's stuff) and Wolverine and the X-Men out of it.
