I haven't done just inks in awhile, but when I saw some pencils of Jean Grey over on Deviant.Art done by Stalk, I got the urge to ink it.

I also started experimenting with the 'Ruler Tools' in Manga Studio. You can see that in the eye of the Sentinel whereas the mechanisms around the eye are inked free hand.

    -Enjoy!

I finally finished an image for a Perspective jam and I wimped out using only a 1-point perspective.

    Two more 'finished' works.

First up, an anniversary gift for a friend's web comic featuring some of his characters.

Second, my entry for a cyclops jam over on Deviant.Art.

    BB/GitS: The Origami Riddles

Finally finished colors on my cross-over idea.

I'd love to see this animated by Production IG.

Just finished this sketch of all my playable characters from Dragons Age Origins.

If I finish this, I'll need to fix up some of the details, and the female human noble's face.

    -Enjoy!

    @Anyone00 - Thanks!

Haven't done a comic strip in a while, and 1up was having an impromptu contest so i thought I'd give it a go. May not make much sense if you are not a gamer (and contains spoilers for Portal and Knights of the Old Republic).

    Should've played a match that had a 'NR20' tag to it. :p

    Good stuff, as usual.

@Silverknight - I learned early to build soldiers and a bunker for early Zerg Rushes back in the day. Good times.
    Glad you love them.

Just finished a quick digital pencil and ink practice (if you can call approx 2hrs. quick).

Just whipped up a quickie for a Beatnik Jam on another board.

I usually don't draw characters that smoke, if I do, and I was using them in a story, any character that smokes will die. Good thing I do not draw stories then. :)

Medium: Manga Studio EX 4.0, Wacom Intuos tablet

Been awhile. I've been having some muscle pain in my arms recently which has hampered my digital lifestyle. But I was able to get some sketches done with my new Wacom Intuos4 Wireless tablet.

    Without further ado:

Been looking through the past few pages, and all I gotta say is "Amazing". Love the Vocaloid picture and Velma/Wolverine together (Jinkies indeed!)

Thanks Pod! I glad you liked those.

Just tried out DeviantArt's Muro with a sketch. For a browser based art program it's pretty decent. It has the basic tools plus layers(!). No pressure sensitivity support though and lag can start to creep in the more lines on the page. I kind of like it, but I can't seem to get a smooth line (probably just me). It' won't replace Manga Studio for me, but as a free drawing tool to sketch up some ideas it's a good step. It's also a quick glimpse in to cloud based drawing applications for the future.

    Enjoy!

These are great, and I'm wondering what kind of programs do you use? I'm working on a comic myself, and I only do sketches but for future reference I'd like to know what tools are necessary. Thanks!

Oh, and was that a Batman/Ghost in the Shell crossover pic back there? Nice :D

    Amazing Work

Bic, these are amazing pieces you've shared. I'm liking what you are doing with your digital work. I just wanted to say keep up the great work, and I can't wait to see what else you put together!!

    (Sorry for the late replies)

@Ajanae - Glad you liked it. My primary tools are:

    • Manga Studio EX4.0
    • Wacom Intuos4 Wireless Tablet
    • Adobe Photoshop CS3 (too broke to get CS5)
Yep, that was indeed a Batman Beyond/Ghost in the Shell crossover. It's one of the few I could actually see work out. (Now if only Warner Bros. and Production I.G. would animated it *sigh*)

@Furious - Thanks! I probably need to get a stronger prescription as I'm starting to get some serious eye strain while working digitally. Or maybe just need more sleep. After all 4-5 hours should be fine, right. :p

Here are two recent ones I've done. Both are for their perspective jams, Wolverine and Storm.

Both were done in Manga Studio. Ororo's costume is my favorite of hers.

    -Enjoy!

    I live! Sort of...

I still have bouts of major pain in my arm, which has really hindered my Drawing and Gaming lifestyles... oh, and work too I suppose. I have done some sketches recently, but really haven't done much beyond that.

This is just a sketch of My Warden and Champion from Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II.

A Dragon Age II silly piece.

    -Enjoy!
