I think TOM should pick up some [certain (or not)] pet hamsters - he once did say "well, they are kinda cute".

Iron Blooded Orphans news: https://m.facebook.com/gundamglobalportal/#_=_. It will premiere at 12:30, after JoJo. I'm a little surprised they didn't give it the first non-Dragonball slot considering their love for Gundam and JoJo's poor ratings. Of course, JoJo and IBO lost about the same number of viewers from Kai. This will make some Gundam fans upset, but I'm sure JoJo fans worried about the show getting GXP'd have little to worry about. It will probably finish as the first non-Dragonball show.

At this point it is kind of inevitable to see the numbers not fall, thankfully Toonami is still going with the acquisitions.

While I would have preferred IBO premiering at midnight, 12:30AM is still a good premiere slot for it. At least I'll have something to watch again during that hour and it will hopefully be enjoyable for me given that I liked the first season quite a bit.

It's getting a much better slot than Unicorn, but that's because Universal Century Gundam is way less accessible. I know that a few HunterXHunter and Naruto fans also wanted that 12:30 slot, but IBO is the hot new show and I'm sure its fans are at least pleased it's not getting the Unicorn treatment.

Hunter x Hunter airing at 12:30 would be neat, but that obviously wasn't going to happen for it or Shippuden. They always try to give their newest shows the best timeslots possible and 12:30 is a good timeslot for this block. At least the first season of IBO already aired and doesn't have a ridiculous amount of lore/continuity that people need to know in order to follow along, so it should be easier for people to follow along with the new season.

I was hoping for something more interesting for another rerun slot, but I probably shouldn't be that surprised either.

Ghost in the Shell is cheap for them so that's why the reruns in the back are almost always the same old stuff (Bebop and Ghost mostly, sometimes FLCL and Big O). Outlaw Star was that anomaly that goes against their usual pattern of reruns. I guess they don't have enough in the budget for another rerun that's not a perma-rerun.

While it's cheap, given the numbers/ratings released in previous weeks, can the back half of the block take what is virtually another repeat? I like that 2nd GIG is going, but at the same time I don't see how that portion of the block from OS-GITS can sustain.

Outlaw Star isn't doing that great compared to perma reruns (Bebop, Ghost). Don't see why to take another risk on a rerun.

The response to Outlaw Star and Bebop was disappointingly lukewarm in terms of ratings, and there were a number of people who cried out for 2nd Gig. I can understand why it's replacing Titan, and it'll probably do about the same numbers for ratings.

2nd Gig wasn't able to start because of Outlaw Star, so this seems fair.

I personally would like Space Dandy on the rerun block. Adult Swim supposedly has a long term contract, but it hasn't aired in years. I think the rumors of the long term contract seem to be close to disproved.

Toonami really needs to be split from Saturday and Sundays, not just a whole Saturday night. Most programs for the block after 1:00 AM just can't survive by themselves anymore, and the ratings are showing it.

Here's an ideal schedule for the block that goes from Saturday and Sundays:

    Saturday:
    10:00 PM: Dragon Ball Super
10:30 PM: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Sardust Crusaders
    11:00 PM: Hunter x Hunter
    11:30 PM: Naruto Shippuden
    12:00 AM: Cowboy Bebop

    Sunday:
10:00 PM: Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters
    10:30 PM: Tokyo Ghoul √A (Root A)
11:00 PM: Lupin the Third: The Italian Adventure
    11:30 PM: Outlaw Star
12:00 AM: Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig

And if Toonami can't start as early as 10:00 PM, then it will go like this:

    Saturday:
    11:00 PM: Dragon Ball Super
11:30 PM: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Sardust Crusaders
    12:00 AM: Hunter x Hunter
    12:30 AM: Naruto Shippuden
    1:00 AM: Cowboy Bebop

    Sunday:
11:00 PM: Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters
    11:30 PM: Tokyo Ghoul √A (Root A)
12:00 AM: Lupin the Third: The Italian Adventure
    12:30 AM: Outlaw Star
1:00 AM: Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig

This version of Cowboy Bebop episode four had no digital bikini on the guy's nudie mag like on the old tape. This gives me hope for episode 23 of Outlaw Star.

If anything just some blurring will need to be done like from episode 12 of Lupin Part IV even if what was blurred was a statue. If that's all it took for Lupin, there really should be no reason OS #23 can't be broadcast. Fan service alone in a sense shouldn't be an issue for [as] given anything aired in the past among every show [as] has aired that had even whatever amount of it in just one episode let alone the series.

I'd still enjoy for Toonami to promote it as a U.S. television premier since that's what it will be.

I think they're most likely to run it with a TV-MA-S and just pixelate Aisha during her brief full-frontal shot which exposes her nipples. The rest of the nudity in the episode is mild/partially obscured and stuff we've seen on Toonami before.

Shows how less strict is Toonami than it once was in its earlier run.
