It's a bootleg. The crappiness of the logo is proof enough, and the fact that Amazon says it's an Import.

Yeah, this is the same situation as the M.A.S.K. and Samurai Pizza Cats DVD's. Sadly, they're bootlegs.

    Doesn't Amazon realize that?

Not always. Amazon has a process in place that allows companies to list products themselves. There's supposed to be a screening process involved, but it doesn't always work. These discs look quite official and since they're labelled as "imports", it's hard for Amazon to confirm or deny their status as legal or illegal.

Most likely it will be released with Batman Vol. 4, and then released with either Superfriends Vol. 3 or Batman Beyond Vol. 1. Once Batman ends, WB will need Superman to pick up the slack and support the "other" release.

It'd be nice if they snagged all the Toonami custom intros, bumpers, and character profiles for the show as extras.

    Those were fun. :anime:

If only they would include a soundtrack CD i'd be in fanboy heaven (sitting next to fanboy Jesus, who is not crying at the present time)

    *laughs out loud*

I believe then that Fanboy Baby Jesus would be in the kitchen making the popcorn and bringing the case of caffine rich soda. [IMG]

Awsome, now there only two of my most have 80's toons left that I want on DVD, Beetlejuice and the Real Ghostbusters. I'm very excited about this news; but I most admit that I am very surpised that WB is doing it, I figured they would have done through Rhino since it is also on by the WBG and since they are finished with Transformers and both Jem and G.I. JOE are winding down soon. I can't wait until this one comes, especially to hear what is still in my opinion the best of the 80's theme songs in 5.0 surround sound.

is it too much to ask for to have the 5-part Lion-O initiation to be placed together on the disk. When it aired on Toonami, those eps were airing all over the place.

I wonder if the DVD will include the unedited "Exodus" episode?

Lion-O's Annointment is in the early 20's. If there are 7 episodes per disc, then we'll get the first three episodes of the series. Maybe.

The problem comes from the fact that it was split up in both original air and production order. Production order, the episodes were 19, 25, 34, 42, 49. Air order, the episodes were 35, 40, 44, 48, and 59. I don't suppose anyone has the episode list Toonami used?

I think this thread will be locked soon since there is already an "official Thundercats DVD" thread.

I'm fairly certain I remember it airing (back in the day) as a mon: pt 1, tues: pt 2 etc. (it only make sence) I just hope the DVD is wise enough to not break that up . it would make for a nice Season 1 finale and the season 2 stuff could start with the New Thundercats and needlessly long Return of Mumm-Ra 5 parters.
