Probably one of my favorite google front pages ever and right on time for my birthday to boot. It's oddly fun to mess around with the music and see what you can make out of it. : )

    If Google thinks it's important

A delightful 46th anniversary Star Trek doodle.
Because we know how important the 46th is.

Of COURSE it's important. We need to keep the kids interested in this stuff and doodles are the way to do it!

That logo was much more fun than it had any right to be

Today's offering, a wonderful motion comic of "Little Nemo in Google-land."

I don't really know anything about Little Nemo except for the name. Never even seen the movie.
    It does rouse my interest.
Is he the inspiration for Arthur Dent?

Since I like looking at comics from the early 20th century, I was impressed with Google's Little Nemo artwork. There is a Nintendo game based on him, too, which I played a long time ago.

Nice Little Red Ridding Hood comic for a Grimm's Fairy Tale 200th anniversary.

It's a nice format to read a comic strip.

    Is there sound for it?
I haven't been able to get the sound to play for these.

Cool zamboni game in the logo.

Stupid kids messing up my ice.
    Anyone have a high score?

I got 220 after playing one game. I'm sure I can be beaten by someone.

I got 221 but it was bogus as I got to the hockey rink level and one of the tracks was in a place that the zamboni couldn't fit.

Today would have been Douglas Adams 61st birthday. Which is kind of sad since he's been gone for almost 12 years already.
If only he could write a few more Doctor Who episodes.

The doodle is the movie version of the Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy along with some more antiquated computer technology. This is the first of the doodles where the sound is working for me.

Fun with aliens today. Finally, something worth celebrating.
I've only had a minute to play with it. Not sure what to do with the feather.

That was a really fun little game. Love that it's sort of a spiritual sequel to E.T. for the 2600. If you haven't played it yet, check it out before they take it down.

You can sort of make a milking motion on the cow. Doesn't do anything, but it's interesting.

Today's pinata-whacking logo is mesmerizing. I kept at it until I got a score of 181, which gave me a special screen where the logo was swimming in candy. What are your high scores?
