According to that, nothing's being released past this week until February.

Anyway, I haven't heard a January release date for any bands I like so...

I'm quite possibly the only person here who cares about this, but from Rob Zombie's web site:

    White Zombie Box Set

Just a quick note on this ongoing project. Well, I am currently transferring all the early [stuff] from the original tapes. No remixing going on here, everything will be as it was originally recorded. Don't know when this box set will be available, but it is slowly moving forward. This will be the final word on WZ. Everything we ever record will be in this box.

Awesome. I still haven't heard most of the stuff from before La Sexorcisto, as I think Rob and the label couldn't come to terms on releasing it.

I can't think of anything for a while. In lieu of a "This Upcoming Year In Music" thread, I'll mention that 2007, like 2005, will most likely contain the QOTSA + KoRn + NIN trifecta. For that, I'm excited. There's nothing else that I know of, though...

Well, if we're gonna lay out our 2007 plans...

Black Sabbath - The Dio Years (Greatest hits release featuring three new songs from the Ronnie James Dio era line-up of Black Sabbath. Set for April 3, 2007 but could come as early as February.)
    Megadeth - United Abominations (March 20, 2007.)
Metallica - Untitled (Probably May I heard but Wikipedia says summer or fall.)
Symphony X - Paradise Lost (They're mixing it right now, no release date except 2007.)
    Rush - Untitled (April 2007.)
Ozzy Osbourne - Untitled (Supposedly, he's putting out two discs this year, February 2007 for at least one of them.)
Guns N' Roses - Chinese Democracy (Ahahahahaha! But seriously, Axl says March. We'll see.)
Dethklok - The Soundtrack (Summer 2007.)
The Eagles - The Long Road To Eden (2007 maybe? Who knows?)
Diamond Head - What's In Your Head? (2007.)
    AC/DC - Untitled (Rumored for 2007.)

Yeah, I don't listen to much recent stuff.

It's good, sir. It's really, really good. Their best produced and most mature record yet.

On another note, the new Mos Def is...wow. Best and most cohesive album he's done by far.

I like it because it's very, very raw. It sounds like he did it on the quick, but he did it focused, which is more than I can say for the clustermuck that was The New Danger.

Of course, I might be overdoing it when I say it's better than Black on Both Sides, but it's damn good.

Just picked up the new Killers album "Sam's Town." I wasn't feeling it at first, but now I like most of the album, although "Hot Fuss" is superior and not nearly as commercial.
Also, still checkin' the c.d.s I got for Christmas: "Stadium Arcadium", the Miami Vice soundtrack, and Bocelli's "Romanza". Great stuff.
Finally, I'll be seeing the Red Hot Chili Peppers later this month. I'll let you know how it goes.

This is easily my most anticipated release for this year. It's been almost five years now since their last album!

Oh, I like it too. It's just that it's clear he did it to fulfill his contract for Geffen Records. I mean, no album cover, lol.

Have you heard Talib Kweli and Madlib's album, Liberation? It's free, you can download it from Kweli's MySpace, and it's fire.

Oh, I have. It's so butter. It's so good, in fact, that it's too good to have a proper release. Which doesn't make any damn sense.

I know it was mentioned a week or so ago, but the Wu-Tang Clan will be releasing a new album this year. It is a one album deal and it will be distributed through Steve Rifkin's label, SRC/Universal Music Group. This is notable because Rifkin signed Wu-Tang Clan to his now defunct label, Loud Records back in 1993.

I can't wait. I hope RZA will produce all the tracks.

I'm stoked for that ****, and yeah, I hope RZA gets behind the boards instead of the cornicopia of producers on Fishscale.

And I'm STILL waiting for the new Madvillain.
