This is a new series I've got going on DeviantArt, and given that it combines my fascination with underwater photography and my knowledge of animation history, I decided that it'd fit in quite well on Toon Zone too. The title is pretty self-explanatory, I think, so here's the first three drawings, with lots more to come (and I am taking suggestions, so if you've got a character you want to see, feel free to tell me).

Daphne and Velma from "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?":

    Minerva Mink from "Animaniacs":

While you were drawing all these underwater girls, didja ever think of drawing one of them as a mermaid?:)
Well, if you're taking suggestions for more female characters to draw underwater, I have to choose Elmyra.

I already have plans for a picture featuring Babs, Fifi, and Shirley, so I think I can fit Elmyra in there somewhere.

Next up, Wilma Flintstone and Betty Rubble...

    Wow these are awesome!

My favorites are Minerva Mink, Jessica Rabbit and the Futurama one.

Are you going to do any with the Simpsons?

I couldn't resist to ask  I wonder if you plan to do other similar fanarts with the following characters?
-Betty & Veronica from Archie comics
    -Josie & the Pussycats
    -Smurfette
-April O'Neil from the 1980s TMNT

I have some other projects to work on in the next few weeks, but I'm still taking suggestions for this series, so keep 'em comin', folks!

These are really fun to look at! Loved the one with Droopy. The underwater setting really throws the characters out of their element and yet you're still able to keep their personalities intact.

I was recently struck with inspiration for a return to this series. Here's Kim Possible and Shego in an underwater battle...

Very weird, but cool. ;) I think my favorite so far is the Betty Boop one, even though there are others with characters I much prefer. (Futurama, Foster's Home, etc...) It just has that certain something to it.
