It's TV - done OUR way! The Toonzone way!!

Years ago, Fantasy Schedule threads were highly popular here at Toonzone. Let's bring some of that back!

Except this time, imagine this as being the "Toonzone" Channel! And we're going to fill it with whatever programs we want! Whether it be American animated, Anime, live-action programs, children's content, adult content (no naughty show titles, that's not what I mean by "adult"), but whatever, it's all good!

This operates as first come, first serve. Fill up no more than 6 hours at a time with each post. Let at least two other people post before you come back and fill in another 6 hours. I don't care if the shows are a lighthearted selection of odd titles or a serious attempt at composing a 6 hour block, the fun is in seeing what all we patch together! Let's begin!

Update: Have a movie you want to add to the "Toonzone Movie of the Week" on our Toonzone channel? You can list up to 3 movies as well!

I will fill this next post with your selections posted below:

Okay, I'll start (and to give an example of how this works):

I can fill up to 6 hours of programming (that's 12 slots to fill above), but instead of doing a whole 6 hour straight block, I think I'll spread out my picks like so:

I think it would just be good to start my day off with a lighthearted classic each morning. Every weekday morning at 7 am, I want an episode of Smurfs to air. So Monday through Friday, that's 5 slots filled.

And I'm sorry, but I've got to have football once a week. So I'm voting "Sunday Night Football" to air every Sunday from 7 pm till 10 pm. That's 3 hours (6 more slots filled). And while I could fill one more slot to get to 12 slots total, I think I'll stop there.

I've updated the post above. Anyone else? :)

Consider your choices added to the schedule!

Hey, if there's a better way to word it, let me know. :)

I want the Super Mario cartoons to air twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays from 7 to 8 PM.

You know what else should air? How about some classic Pokemon, Fridays and Saturdays from 8 to 10 PM.

I'm not greedy, I only need one slot: could I have The Aquabats Super Show! air at 10 PM on Saturday nights? The Hub axed this awesome show, I'd like to see it air somewhere.

Had this all pre-typed, waiting for up to 3 replies instead of 2 :p -- worked out as none of the times were taken!

    1. Family Double Dare - Saturdays @ 4:00pm
    2. Legends of the Hidden Temple - Saturdays @ 4:30pm
    3. Nickelodeon GUTS - Saturdays @ 5:00pm
    4. Figure It Out - Saturdays @ 5:30pm
    5. Salute Your Shorts - Sundays @ 4:00pm
    6. The Adventures of Pete & Pete - Sundays @ 4:30pm
    7. Kenan & Kel - Sundays @ 5:00pm
    8. All That - Sundays @ 5:30pm
    *9-10. Cartoon Planet - Fridays @ 11pm, Saturdays @ 10:30am
    *11-12. Space Ghost Coast to Coast - Fridays @ 11:30pm, Mondays @ 12:00am

    * Back when I first watched Cartoon Network, 3/4 airings were in the exact time slots - the exception is one Cartoon Planet which aired Saturdays at noon, but I'm placing it after Dan. Fridays 11p-12a were very fun for me

** Was going to select MLB, but that can replace NFL in 2015 -- also, due to MLB able to go on beyond 3 hours, wonder if that's an okay pick -- not going to worry about it though.

I'd like to see Megas XLR run on Saturdays at 10:30 PM, a half hour of Barbie: Life in the Dream House (Don't laugh, I'm serious) on Saturdays at 9 AM, Liquid Television on Saturdays at 11 PM and Red Dwarf on Sundays at 11 PM.

Not sure if shows that haven't been released yet but will be aren't allowed, but I'd like to throw the new Viz dub of Sailor Moon Fridays for an hour (7pm-8pm).

I'll also put The Bugs Bunny Show Saturdays at Noon.

Okay, consider all of your additions now updated!

For some shows, I was temporarily confused as to how long of a time to put down for the show. I have memories of "The Bugs Bunny Show" airing for 60 minutes, but I checked, and there was a 30 minute version as well. Same with Cartoon Planet: it had an hour long version, but there's also a 30 minute version. Going off of the way you guys posted, I suspect you meant the 30 minute versions in both cases. Please clarify if that's not the case.

Well, over the years, there has been "Monday Night Baseball", "Wednesday Night Baseball", "Thursday Night Ball", and yes, "Sunday Night Baseball" (all on ESPN)...that'd be fine, though since I picked NFL, this is a Fall schedule. MLB stops come October (except for the playoffs and the World Series). I plan on doing some twists after the completion of this game - the next one may be a "Winter" schedule, or a "Spring" or "Summer" schedule. And some additional twists. But I guess consider this to be the Toonzone Channel Fall schedule!

Okay, I've got to have some "Mystery Science Theater 3000" on my Toonzone Channel - so I'll fill Sunday morning at 12 am to 2 am with that. (I actually remember it airing at that time years ago on the Comedy Channel).

Sticking with the theme of "Journey into Late Night TV" - from my days of watching the classic "Sci-Fi Channel", I enjoy finding old Sci-Fi shows on TV late at night, so I'll plug in the original "The Twilight Zone" at 1 am through the weekday nights (so that starts Tuesday at 1 am and the last day would be Saturday at 1 am).

Oh, and if the NFL Sunday Night game runs late, it's better to have cartoon filler in that 10 pm hour on Sunday nights, so I choose to fill that hour with Cartoon Roulette. (composed of classic episodes of the Herculoids, Space Ghost, Superman, Birdman). That's 11 slots filled, but I'll stop there. I'll update the schedule!

Excellent call wonderfly on MST3K -- yes, yes, and moar yes! Used to watch it in reruns Saturday mornings at 9am on Sci-Fi (when they spelled it that way) good times.

In regards to Cartoon Planet, I refer to the 30m 22-episode version from '97 with clips thrown together

    1. The Weird Al Show - Sundays @ 10:30am
    2. O Canada - Mondays @ 12:30am
3-9. Dragon Ball/Z/GT (could title it Dragon Ball Trilogy for an alternate) - Everyday @ 6:00am
    10-11. One Piece - Wednesdays @ 7:00pm & 7:30pm
    12. The Adventures of Tintin - Saturdays @ 8:00am

Thinking of Dragon Ball as a trilogy that'll just air nonstop. 508 consecutive days! - I did take consideration into this, but I thought it'd be great to have it run a full cycle.

I like how you have a select color for everybody on the shows they selected. 1st note on that, I got blue which is my fav! 2nd note - is this as a means that when a winter/future schedule happens, that we only replace the slots we chose or just simply a means of who selected what and you'll figure replacements later?

Y'know, the ol' reruns are great, but why not new shows? With us as the stars?
    Tuesdays @9:00PM
The Twin Factor- From the twisted minds of the Star Twins, The Twin Factor is an animated variety comedy show full of laughs, wackiness, and surprises, hosted by The Star Twins themselves, Firstname "Goldstar" Lastname and Firstname "Silverstar" Lastname.
    Tuesdays @9:30PM
The Odd Couple- No, not the Tony Randall series nor the upcoming Matthew Perry remake. This half-hour sitcom takes a look at two complete polar opposites. CoolEric is an overly optimistic, happy-go-lucky, and naive goofball who always sees the bright side to any situation. TheShopSoldier is a pessimist who always expects nothing but the worst to happen. But when these two are forced to be in the same apartment together, they learn that what they see isn't always real.
    Mondays-Fridays @1:30-2:30AM
Snark Attack!- With your host...(insert snarky/sarcastic Toonzone member here), it's a late night series dedicated to look at the latest news and information and dive deeper into the meat, taking note of the stupidity and idiocy in each current event, with plenty of sass and sarcasm to make you laugh!

And that's about it for now.

Interesting. The alternative I thought of was to air Dragon Ball Z Monday through Friday and air the more rarely seen original "Dragon Ball" as a treat to air on Saturday and Sunday. And then add on "Dragon Ball GT" to the weekend slot when "Dragon Ball" finishes it's run. But your idea works as well.

Ummm, I'm undecided on such things. Future games may be altering your own previous choices, or more likely just starting over with a new blank slate and letting "first come/first serve" happen again.

Umm, well, I kinda figured someone would suggest an "Attack of the Show" or "X-Play" type program featuring reviews of cartoons...but what you propose is a twist. Though I don't want to go too far down the road of naming fellow forum members. Propose a show for just yourself if you want though. If the Twins want their own show, they can accept your proposal, or propose their own show.. ;)

But I'll add "Snark Attack!", as you didn't single out a specific Toonzone member...

:^:I'm cool with Eric's idea, and Silverstar says that he's OK with it as well. The funny thing about that is that Silver and I have been putting together our own hypothetical dream cable/satellite channel which we've been calling POP, which specializes in animation for all ages and comedy (both animated and live action). One of the shows on said channel is a comedy series starring ourselves in which we riff on cartoons and short films, make fun of commercials and do abridged reviews (it's basically our blog in TV show form) which airs on Saturday nights at 10 PM called Twinsanity (which our followers know was the name of our blog before we changed it to The Twin Factor).

Also, good call with adding Mystery Science Theater 3000 to the schedule, Wonderfly. I was going to suggest that myself.

A cartoon review series a la X-Play sounds like a good idea to me. I'd watch that. I don't know what it would be called, though.

Well then, consider "The Twin Factor" added. :)

Okay, so does anyone have any other shows you want added to the Toonzone channel?!?

Remember, it can be a current show, a show no longer on the air, a forgotten classic, live action, American animated, anime, a new creation, whatever...

    I've got some more ideas.

    T.U.F.F. Puppy Mondays-Fridays at 5:30 PM.
Space Dandy Fridays at 10 and 10:30 PM.
The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog Sundays at 6 and 6:30 PM.
