It's TV - done OUR way! The Toonzone way!!

Years ago, Fantasy Schedule threads were highly popular here at Toonzone. Let's bring some of that back!

Except this time, imagine this as being the "Toonzone" Channel! And we're going to fill it with whatever programs we want! Whether it be American animated, Anime, live-action programs, children's content, adult content (no naughty show titles, that's not what I mean by "adult"), but whatever, it's all good!

This is the 2nd thread in this game. The first thread can be found here. In that game, we were just filling up the schedule all willy nilly. Now let's try and put some organization to the Toonzone channel - by adding Programming blocks!!

"So what's a Programming Block, for the purposes of this game?"

It's 2 to 6 hours of time on the schedule below, that you choose and say "I want this amount of time dedicated for X, Y, or Z" - be it anime, retro shows, action shows, comedy shows, live-action, sports, or brand new shows that you invent (as long as they have a theme). NOTE: If you pick a time on a day Monday through Friday, from 5 am to 7 pm, that fills in spots for every day Monday through Friday. Evenings and weekends have stand along blocks. Here is an old thread showing an old Cartoon Network schedule to give you an idea of what I'm talking about. :)

    Round One:
consists of people stopping by, picking 3 to 6 hours on a day, and declaring what type of shows you are setting it aside for (examples: comedy cartoons, drama cartoons, 70's cartoons, anime, sports, live action sci-fi shows, etc). This operates as first come, first serve. One block per person's post. After you post, 2 other people must post before you are able to post again with a new choice for a programming block.

Round Two: After the schedule is filled with Program Blocks, we then switch to people stopping by and picking up to no more than 6 hours of TV shows to fill ANY Programming block. So even if someone else set aside, say, 4 hours for anime on Saturday nights, and someone else sets aside 6 hours for comedy cartoons from the 80's on Sunday mornings, you can help fill in those blocks with shows (anime or 80's comedies) of your own choosing. If there were gaps left inbetween Programming blocks, (example: a one hour time slot between an anime block and a comedy block)., then these gap timeslots can be filled with whatever someone chooses, if someone wants to fill those spots with their picks. Again: after you post, 2 other people must post before you are able to post again with new choices for what to fill in the timeslots.

The fun is in seeing what all we patch together! Let's begin!

I will fill this next post with your selections posted below:

    Comedy Club - Saturday Nights
    7:00pm - Rocko's Modern Life
    7:30pm - Regular Show
    8:00pm - Dan Vs.
8:30pm - The LARPers (my own original - and the only non-animated series on block, except for the CGI moments - continuing unofficial syndication since TZC launch)
9:00pm - Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law
    9:30pm - The Venture Brothers

I know I filled in a lot of spots last time, so this time, I'll ease up a bit :p - IDC either way. There's only a small handful I'm targeting, but if posting here looks minimal, I may come up with other ideas.

Was thinking also, that the new ToonZone-batch Dan Vs. could start in mid February. I have all 16 episodes' info ready to give out. One of them is a Valentine's Day episode that could air as the season premier with Valentine's Day being a Saturday night.

I propose a cartoon block in the veins of Cartoon Cartoon Fridays. (If you haven't guessed, this is a nightly thing.)
    8:00 pm: Kim Possible

    8:30 pm: Rugrats
    9:00 pm: Sanjay and Craig
    9:30 pm: Adventure Time
    10:00 pm: Legend of Korra
    10:30 pm: The Simpsons

It'd be called The Cartoons Of Awesomeness League, otherwise known as C.O.A.L.

I guess I didn't make it clear enough. My bad. *hangs head in shame* Let's see if I can clear it up:

We'll start by you naming off 1 programming block, and picking a time for it. After we've set aside everything for a block, we'll fill it with shows. I was hoping to see what you guys fill in to each others blocks, but maybe you'll end up filling in your own Programming Blocks anyway.

Well, we'll just see what happens.

Anyone else care to list an idea for a Programming block? :)

Each weeknight will have it's own schedule. It's the weekday mornings and afternoons that will have the same schedule each day. Since you mentioned Fridays, I put your block on Friday night.

You can only choose a block for only one day on the weekend. I put it in for Saturdays, since you mentioned having new episodes on Saturdays.

Oh, I see. Here's another idea.
Late Night Lingering: An adult themed block that runs Fridays from 11:00 PM to 4:00 AM while the kids are asleep. And by adult themed, I mean like South Park or Happy Tree Friends or whatever. NOT any dirty content. You know what I mean.

I think I'm now understanding the Round 2 thing. Didn't say it before, but looking at the updated schedule, filling in shows happens later. Most may be lucky enough to retain their own block.

Question though, is should I manage the Comedy Club block's shows, should that be strictly animation? The one show of my own (LARPers) is only animated as far as CGI moments (weird-looking monsters and etc) and uses real actors/actresses. If so, I'd add it to another block later or just bring it back at a later time.

Last question, is I'd thought to add a few more of my own, a potential block, where are you at in us coming up with original content? (despite I debuted The LARPers near the end of May in 2013 on my own personal channel)

That's up to you. When you declare what a block is, you can specify if it's animation only, live action only, or a mixture...

You can declare a block as being all "original content only". You could even specify what type of "original content".

I am going to start inserting the "winners" of the last Toonzone game. To refresh, I'll post them here:

Besides all that, anyone else got any ideas (and a timeslot) for a programming block? You don't have to name it, necessarily, but you can just declare "I want 3 hours of anime/retro/live action/sports/whatever".....
