Why would I want to see a dude in a suit? We have Power Rangers for that.

300 styled Voltron...the technology would be a perfect fit for something like Harlock, but Voltron? Not seeing it.

The script they are apparently working from is pretty awful too.

The hardcore Voltron faithful will not be happy.

This is going to be Wing Commander meets Voltron :D .

Eh, I'm betting this one doesn't make it. It doesn't have nearly as strong a foundation as the upcoming films for Astro Boy and Robotech.

This movie sounds like the kind of film I might go to a final showing of just so I can riff it without disturbing anyone.

Ive read a copy. It's painful, you can almost see the death from a thousand executive modifications.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I can't believe El Mayimbe wrote that review, and then after reading the actual script, I thought Latino Review was off its rocker.

And this is the same screenwriter that's doing He-Man, Green Arrow, and Street Fighter right now. I've read the He-Man script by Justin Marks as well, and it's also pretty awful.

I wonder if we should downgrade this from "failure" to "won't see a release".

Well, at least Voltron's cockpit will be clean and stylish.

Maybe he could get them to drop the "they must have tatoos to show how tough and manly they are!" angle.

I recently went to the Voltron boards, and the guys that have read the script aren't too happy about this.

All this stuff about its underfunding and shooting it like 300.

Just to give you guys an example of how bad this script is, the Keith that's depicted is more like a Jason Statham or Rock action movie character getting their quick paycheck. I mean, it's basically Statham's character in Death Race. That's Keith in this script in a nutshell.

Nothing that's cool or that makes you nostalgic about Voltron is in this script.

Mel Brooks is in the house..... Seriously, it seems like the plot of Producers but with Voltron. If this somehow becomes a hit, I won't be surprised. (Sings "Springtime")

    Springtime for Lotor!

It's still a horrible idea for a script. Anyone know any other mecha anime that might get a film release soon? We need a mecha film better than Robot Jox, dammit!

Oh man, Robot Jox. I can remember raiding my local library for that VHS every so often. Dang...
