Something good to look at would be what other networks shows are getting at the same time. That could be a solid indication of how the shows are doing.

Toonami is almost always number 1 in its timeslot for the 18-49 demographic. It's doing fine compared to its competition, but below where it was. The fear is that comedy (especially Fox reruns) whips Toonami and Adult Swim could air even more comedy instead as a desperation move. Adult Swim's viewership is disappearing and streaming seems to be its main enemy.

That's unfortunate that DB Super and DBZ Kai are starting to get less than a million, for their timeslots though for the most part it does good that both are still well programs in the lead.

How can they when Family Guy barely gets a million?

Ratings time including the Family Guy lead-in:
    Family Guy: 947,000
    11:30 Dragon Ball Super 804 0.39 496
    12:00a Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters 725 0.35 447
    12:30a Attack on Titan 621 0.31 396
    1:00a Tokyo Ghoul 565 0.28 354

    1:30a Hunter X Hunter 500 0.25 319
    2:00a Lupin the 3rd: Part 4 472 0.24 314
    2:30a Naruto: Shippuden 436 0.20 256
    3:00a Ghost in the Shell (r) 367 0.17 222

Shows in the 300,000s. Looks like Adult Swim is going through a lot of desperation moves to salvage Toonami. Can Toonami handle this low ratings?

What in the hell is happening? Did everyone decide to give up their cable subscriptions this summer?

I find it weird that ratings are not only dropping, but also dropping rapidly. We seem to have lost about 100,000 in the span of a month and 200,000 viewers in the span of two months.

    Wait...am I reading this right?

    804 0.39 496

So 0.39, I assume, is the percentage rating, but what do 804 and 496 mean? Is 804 or 496 the total viewer estimate? And, in either case, what do the other numbers represent?

804 is the total viewership number. So, it means 804,000 people were watching according to Nielsen. .39 is the 18-49 rating. This is arguably the most important number especially for a network like adult swim. This is why if you go to some ratings websites the list will start with whatever show had the highest 18-49 rating not whichever had the most total viewers. The 496, I'm pretty sure is just the amount of 18-49 viewers.

Ah, okay. That makes more sense. For a minute, I thought the numbers on the right were the total viewers, which would've been abysmal.

Ouch, DB is starting to decline especially now with DBZ Kai seeing 700 thousand.

Top 25 ratings are in. Moving the block up did not help. It appears that it is hopeless for any slot after the Dragonball shows to get over 900,000. It appears that the days of Dragonball itself getting over a million are also done for.

    Kai: 721,000
    JoJo: 638,000
    Tokyo Ghoul: 598,000
    Lupin: 475,000

1:30 getting below 500,000 is not good at all.

Terrible ratings. I wish we knew more about what the ratings were for the episodes on on-demand, the AS app, and on streaming services like PS Vue.

    Cable is really dying bro.

Just surprised at how rapid it's declining. The Dragonball shows (or at least Super) were guaranteed over a million until a month or two ago.

I wonder if reactions to the retread ground of Super's first two arcs took their toll. Ratings might pick up now that Super is going for new material.

And to think that Jojo wasn't performing well because it saw 900 thousand viewers, well now its with a 1/3 less.

HunterXHunter would probably do better than JoJo considering its retention. I feel like it deserves a promotion considering its retention. Hunter seems to have more casual appeal.

    Top 25 ratings time:

    Kai: 851.000
    JoJo: 702,000
    Tokyo Ghoul: 664,000
    Lupin: 469,000

It semms like nothing can get ratings up. WIth the acquisition of Outlaw Star in spite of falling ratings, I guess that Adult Swim is lowering its standard as to what good ratings are. These ratings are still terrible compared to Rick and Morty and the Seth MacFarland shows, but apparently good enough to survive.

    Full ratings with lead-in:

    10:30 Family Guy (r) 0.78 1159 0.51 654
    11:00 Dragon Ball Super (r) 918 0.42 541
    11:30 Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters 851 0.39 504
    12:00a Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders 702 0.34 435
    12:30a Tokyo Ghoul 664 0.32 407

    1:00a Hunter X Hunter 574 0.29 375
    1:30a Lupin the 3rd: Part 4 569 0.24 308
    2:00a Naruto: Shippuden 453 0.21 271
    2:30a Ghost in the Shell (r) 386 0.18 229
    3:00a Attack on Titan (r) 403 0.19 240

Even when Family Guy get's over 110,000,000, Super can't get over a million any more. I'm wondering if Super isn't well-liked (it isn't getting GT-level hate, but it's not clicking like Z, which is the most profitable non-toyetic anime in America. I was expecting it to be a hit, but it's only moderately popular considering how little Wal-Mart merch there is compared to Z in its heyday).
