People mentioned HxH beating Gundam. I'm surprised nobody mentioned that Naruto did so too.

    Top 25 ratings are in.
    Kai: 1,162,000
    JoJo: 974,000
    Gundam: 907,000

Higher than normal numbers. JoJo still had a 255,000 drop.

Mobile Suit did well for its time, the same for Jojo.

Eh, hate to be that guy, but for their time they're mediocre at best. We used to see higher ratings in 12:30 than this all the time. Jojo droped off a lot, and while that isn't unusual do do coming right after DBZ, I still don't think I'd say this is a good 12:30 rating relative to what we've seen.

I remember when we've got 4 shows over a million. That feels like ancient history.

The second hour did good at 900 thousand while the last one was just not good that it was about to see a lower number than 500 thousand.

I still wonder about the fate of JoJo. Just six or so weeks until the end of the arc and no word on whether we'll get part 3 or something else.

That's still plenty of time for them to announce its replacement. I believe they often reveal new shows 2-3 weeks (or even less) before their premiere.

Now, whether it'll be Stardust Crusaders is anyone's guess.

Yeah, they normally don't announce a new show far in advance. There are some exceptions if the show is a big deal, but we usually don't learn about what new show is coming to the block until a week or two before it premieres. We probably won't find out what will come after Battle Tendency until we're closer to the finale.

They mostly want to announce the show as late as possible too. In Toonami's first year or two Adult Swim, they often waited so long that the show was usually leaked by a schedule or artificle. That's how the beloved on-air schedule came to die too. Today they usually do it a few more weeks in advance probably because of the countless incidents back then, so 3-4 weeks is probably a good guess.

The exceptions are if they either have a really big deal coming up, such as with Space Dandy, Samurai Jack or FLCL, or if they are attending some event where they'd like to have some announcements to present, such as Michiko and Hatchin or Akame ga Kill.

    Top 25 ratings are in.
    Samurai Jack: 1,552,000
    Kai: 903,000

Samurai Jack did pretty well, but Kai fell a TON. Super isn't eligible for the top 25 due to being a rerun so I can't comment on it. Wonder how long it will take for the rest of the ratings to come out. Full ratings used to come Tuesday afternoon. Now, it can be as late as Wednesday evening.

@PicardMan The Nielson headquarters experienced a huge power outage over the weekend, delaying Saturday through Monday's ratings.

Samurai Jack did really well, especially considering that it has been more than a decade since the last episode. It was SECOND PLACE out of 150 cable network originals (scoring 0.8% rating among adults 18-49 with 1,552,000 total viewers) beating out Nick's Kids Choice Awards 2017 (5th place with 0.7 % among adults 18-49 and 3.05 million viewers).

Granted, in the Kids Choice Awards case, Nick will be looking into the younger age ranges for satisfying ratings.

I wonder how long the wait will be. It's Wednesday night and only top 25 ratings are available.

Of course as I would expect Jack was back with a good number as well.

Impressive showing from Jack! Good chance that show pulls Toonami records if that wasn't it.

I'd assume Dragon Ball on the block would do better if one of them wasn't an early rerun.

    Full ratings are FINALLY out.

    PROGRAM Viewers(000) A1849rating A1849(000)
    11:00 Samurai Jack 1552 0.76 973
    11:30 Dragon Ball Super 1251 0.57 733
    12:00a Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters 903 0.42 542
    12:30a JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure 672 0.32 405
    1:00a Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn 569 0.26 339

    1:30a Hunter X Hunter 569 0.26 337
    3:00a Naruto: Shippuden 674 0.30 379
    3:30a One Piece 657 0.28 364
    4:00a Ghost in the Shell (r) 602 0.26 334

JoJo-Hunter did AWFUL, inexplicably awful. Shippuden gaining on Hunter is a little bit of a surprise. Shippuden-GITS did better than the front half. What????

I'm glad that Jack did so well, but yeah. The rest of the block was pretty uneven after Kai.

That's...weird. Something to do with Daylight Saving Time, maybe?
