Does anyone find it weird that Nielsen is collecting the ratings for the music videos?
Shippuden beat HxH and Gundam?
Wow, people must have really wanted to see Sasuke get beat up by Killer B.
Super did open on a lower number this week and things really did fall from there, but surprisingly sprang back when Shippuden aired.
Ratings for the top 100 are in:
Dragonball Super: 1,282,000
Nothing else in top 100. This ain't good. JoJo has been doing abysmal in the ratings.
Every week Jojo just tends to either stay normal or lose some viewers, which does suck since it is really cool.
As unfortunate as it is, Jojo will probably have to move from the 12:30 spot eventually if it is to air all of Stardust Crusaders as well. I'm not sure how much better Gundam Unicorn or HxH would do there at this point. Iron Blooded Orphans didn't do much better there. HxH could perhaps, but it's late into the run by now, so I'm not sure any more. But whenever something new comes, it should definitely be before Jojo.
Will JoJo ever get to the 900K range?
At least it was close that time.
I'm still not too surprised with how Jojo is doing ratings wise. While the Battle Tendency is an improvement over Phantom Blood, I wouldn't be too surprised if it was still a bit too bizarre for the general audience for the block. Not to mention I don't think that Phantom Blood was a really good way to start off the series quality wise. I'm not too surprised with how Unicorn is doing either. Granted, IBO also had some rough times with ratings, but it seems like Unicorn has a tougher time due to how it's more dialogue heavy and set within an established Gundam continuity.
It doesn't really matter if it does. What probably matters more is the 18-49 rating. That and probably what other shows on other networks are doing at the same timeslot.
We have top 25 ratings.
Dragonball Z Kai: 1,003,000
Gundam Unicorn: 618,000
Dang Gundam is sinking the block.
Ghost did see a much lower number this week than last.
May wanna check your math there. Jojo is the sinking ship in this lineup. 234,000 viewers lost vs 151,000. And if you take the 18-49 demo, that's still 154K lost vs 79K.
Neither show is a ratings winner at this moment. HunterXHunter actually gained.
HxH beat Unicorn, wow.
There is a significant drop between DBZ Kai The Final Chapters and Jojo, which still isn't too surprising to me. Neither is how Gundam Unicorn has been doing. I imagine that being so dialogue heavy and especially not being easy for the general audience, or anyone unfamiliar with the Gundam franchise for that matter, to get into it aren't helping matters. I wonder if they'll move shows around the lineup by a certain point to see if the ratings would improve.
