Excellent job, whitmore_sean! I'm sure you already know the first three guesses are solid. And truth be told, I belatedly realized that my own answer to the Static Shock episode, "Hard as Nails" featured Harley and Ivy masquerading as muses, not gods. However, your "Static in Aftrica" answer is perfectly fine anyway. In fact, um...that's really what I had in mind afterall...er, yeah...that's the ticket! :deedee:

    Anyway, it's all yours.

Name three episodes of Batman (any season) where the plot was directly lifted from a DCU-proper Batman comic. NOT any of the animated series comics, like "Mad Love" or such.

By "directly" do you mean "accurately"? From a single comic? Because I know that the B:TAS episode THE LAUGHING FISH was a compilation of two different Batman comic stories, "The Laughing Fish" (Detective #475, Feb. 1978) and "The Joker's Five-Way Revenge" (Batman #251, Sept. 1973). Does that count?

As for the other ones, I'll have to think on it.

    EDIT

Oh, right! D'oh! I forgot LEGENDS OF THE DARK KNIGHT! The DARK KNIGHT RETURNS segment was straight out of...uh...THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS. Of course, that's only a single segment (I think the Dick Sprang-style story was original), not an entire episode, so again I ask, does that count?

Yep, M'ral is right with THE LAUGHING FISH. An awesome episode, combining two already awesome stories.

Other episodes taken directly from non-animated comics have been:

    -A BULLET FOR BULLOCK
    -APPOINTMENT IN CRIME ALLEY
-LEGENDS OF THE DARK KNIGHT (Frank Miller segment)
    -BANE (...partly...does that count?)

I know there are more, but these are the ones that spring to mind. :)

Oops, sorry Tim, we must've been on at the same time when I was doing that edit.

That's right, I remember now! APPOINTMENT IN CRIME ALLEY was based on "There Is No Hope In Crime Alley" (Detective #457, 1976), wasn't it? That was a really great one, I can't believe I forgot it!

Which one was A BULLET FOR BULLOCK based on?

*PONDERS* I dunno, I found it out in BATMAN: ANIMATED. It's an early 90's 'TEC issue, as far as I remember. I'll come back later tonight with an answer. :)

    Jesus Malloy, that was fast.

Well, between Tim and M'ral, you got three of them. LAUGHING FISH, APPOINTMENT IN CRIME ALLEY, and LEGENDS OF THE DARK KNIGHT were almost directly taken from the comics.

I didn't know BULLET FOR BULLOCK was from the comics. And BANE didn't follow the comic plot in the least.

Other episodes would have included JOKER'S MILLIONS (Batman...oh...#208, or thereabouts?) and SIDESHOW (a Neal Adams issue, even though Croc wasn't in it). I also would have accepted THE DEMON'S QUEST, since I'm pretty sure it was taken from a Neal Adams issue, but I never read it, so I can't be positive.

Anyway, I don't want to say who won, so let's just call the next one up for grabs between the two of you.

I'm still trying to come up with a quote for the Quote thread, so Tim can have it. He got more of them anyway. :)

Re: BANE - I know it's not totally based on KNIGHTFALL, but the Bane/Croc fight was taken directly out of one issue of KNIGHTFALL (part 4, I think).

    Anyway, let's think of a new question...*PONDERS*

Of all the BTAS episodes that originally aired in 1993, which episode had the lowest episode production number?

(ie, ON LEATHER WINGS was episode #1, CHRISTMAS WITH THE JOKER was episode #2, etc, etc.)

The Laughing Fish was the first episode to air in 1993, it was episode 46.

Good call, Barb, but BZZZZT, you be wrong. :)

    Not a bad guess, though.

Man Tim, I thought by now you'd be all out of questions...

Off the top of my head, I could be thinking one of the Robin's Reckoning episodes, but that's just a guess. Close?

*SHAKES HEAD* Sorry dude, it's neither of those eps, either.

Hint: This episode was going to be aired in '92, but the script for the episode was later scrapped (originally entitled "The Count and the Countess") and was replaced by a completely different script.

Hmm, the Count makes me think of Vertigo...

    Is it "Off Balance"?

Nope. This is odd, because once upon a time I know that Toonzone used to have a section of the site that featured all the BTAS episodes aired, their original air dates, and their episode production number. Not the number in which they were aired, but their production number. If you find anywhere online with that info, the question will be easily answered. :)

Here's a hint - the episode production number is in the teens.

    How about "See No Evil"?

If I'm right, next question is up for grabs.

"See No Evil" is production no 15, so Freeze should be right.

^^Alright then. This being my first question: I'll try to think of not too easy not too hard one.

    I got it:

In what episode is Batgirl handgagged by Batman?

Hehehehehe, I bet nobody will be able to figure it out. ^_-

...first off, yep, SEE NO EVIL was the episode I was looking for. It was Episode #15, but it didn't air until 1993. Go figure. :)

So, let's see...Batgirl handgagged by Batman? Hmmmm...*PONDERS* I can't think of anything. Let's just go with...HEART OF STEEL (Pt. 1). *SHRUGS*
