How many Croc falls in love stories must we endure?

I haven't read this issue, so it's not a judgement on the writer. But I've already seen two Croc in love stories (one in TNBA, and the other in The Batman and Robin Adventures comic) and neither really impressed me. Surely there must be a better angle from which to approach this grotesque villain...?

This is my second-to-last issue of BATMAN STRIKES, and I just want to point out what a fantastic job Christopher Jones did on the pencils. It's not a traditional action-heavy comic, and Chris really brought out great emotion in Croc's face, particularly in the final pages.

The story also features GCTV reporter Meredith Van Zeyl, a character I created who's based on my 6-year-old daughter. So if for no other reason, buy it for that! :)

I might go check it out soon. I just need to convince my folks to drive me to the mall, since my tiny, insignificant town doesn't even have a book store.
