Since Deathstroke is the villain shouldn't this be called Beware the Batman instead?

Now whenever I'm going to see this thread I'm gonna think it's for the cartoon instead.

I guess the first trailer will come during an episode of Yu-Gi-Oh.

Well, he's not saying it's not happening. He's saying it is just not coming as quick as we think. I think it still involves Affleck contract with WB asa filmmaker. It's kinda like politics. Sure, he wants to do it, but he also might want another Oscar first.

Well, he is set to direct an adaptation of Agatha Christie's Witness for the Prosecution, which is coming out in 2018. If that stays the case, then the absolute earliest we'll see Batman is 2019 if he really hurries, though 2020 may be more likely.

Cool. So I guess 2019 or 2020 is when we'll see it hit theatres. I guess Affleck will film this and Witness for The Prosecution back to back.

Being reported no Ra's or Talia in this movie or any foreseeable DCEU movie. Phew.

Guess that also rules out Damian as Robin, not that I was expecting him anytime soon either .

Jeremy Irons says the movie is filming summer 2017. So with Joe's spring comment, sounds like production will start early next year.

Oh boy. This DC shared universe is all over the place. That being said, I'm struggling to believe all the reports nowadays. Unless behind-the-scenes is a total mess that WB/DC have no control over, I doubt the DCEU is doomed in the way the news is making it out to be.

I was having dinner with a couple of executives who know other executives who are working on the [forthcoming] Batman movie

This quote alone doesn't seem super convincing.

We don’t care. We don’t really care. The amount of money we’re going to make globally, I mean 70 percent of our audience is not going to be seeing this in English. And it doesn’t really matter, these things that you’re bringing up about the flaws of the script

But this comment, whether it's true or not, is the kind of thing I'm concerned about. Not caring about your final product because you know fans and the general audience will probably see the movie either way. What a terrible way to think and make money off fans who dream of seeing these characters in live-action film. Anyway, again, this may not be true. At least I certainly hope it isn't.

Either way, I really hope the final script for Batman's solo movie is solid.

He forgot to ask what draft it is. Usually the first 2 are terrible no matter what, imo. I'm willing to give it a pass. For any movie, they change the script many many times to plus it. Yup, I'm in denial.

And I'm sure Affleck will have some ghostwriters give it a once over ;).

It's quite obvious to me that if WB cared, Man Of Steel and Dawn Of Justice would have been better. So, I believe their not caring stance. I wanted WB to admit they're cramming Batman down our throats (which implies to me they also might not care about the quality of any Batman product), I guess this is the closest I'll get.
