This looks like it could be good, I'd say it's still in somewhat early developement.

There's only one thought I have so far:

That turtle head is ugly as sin.

Is "The" an official part of the title?

The turtle looks ugly and old like a villain.

    If that's a joke, it's a mean one. I really really hope it's a hoax.

That first article dates back a full year ago. And I too thought there would be a CGI film from Viacom/Nickelodeon (which now owns the full property from Laird lest y'all forgot) in 2012. I'm getting real suspicious that this is all a prank...

    Could be a reference model.

I agree. I think that the head looks really creepy since it almost looks like a regular turtle. I'm pretty sure that it said in a press release shortly after Nick got the franchise that the film, as well as the series, would be in CGI. Either this is a model for the designs or they're going back to people wearing turtle costumes. There's also the possibility of it being a joke too.

From what I remember they said that it's going to be live-action, but the Turtles heads would be CGIed so they'd be more expressive.

Makes me wonder if the suits from the original TMNT movies are still around. Well I know the Mikey and Leo heads from 3 aka. the one nobody liked is owned by a fanatic, but it's anyone's guess what happened to the Raph and Don heads.

The guy on that blog never said it was the new design. He also fails to mention where he aquired the picture so it could just be a joke or something.

TMNT Film headed by Platinum Dunes

Bay's Platinum Dunes set to ruin not only slashers from the 80s but also TMNT, http://movies.ign.com/articles/109/1093471p1.html

The only good note in this is that Platinum Dunes has improved over the years but this is new ground for them. It probably won't be aimed for young kids but instead have a P-13 rating be more like the 90 film, which is another good note.

I wonder how they will ruin character development by sticking the four turtles into one-dimensional personalities and making April a slutty damsel in distress.

Um, NONE of the 90's films had PG-13's; they were all PG's.

I'm also assuming you mean "Bay" as in "Michael Bay"? In that case, it certainly doesn't look good for this planned movie; and I was thinking of looking into it, too...
