On the last episode of 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' -

It took long enough, but Sokka finally realized how much he's left out with Aang, Katara, and Toph able to bend the elements at will. And he's... just the ordinary guy. The group tries to cheer him up by taking him to a weapons' dealer, when he gazes eyes upon a spectacularly crafted sword, forged by a sword master who lives in the area. And with that, Sokka sees a chance to prove himself a force in battle again by asking this sword master, Piandao, for lessons.

Despite his unworthiness (admitting in brutal honesty), Master Piandao actually sees that as a reason to teach Sokka. So as Sokka learns the way of the sword, Aang and the others... are bored to near death, obviously missing their favorite comedian.

Eventually, through perseverance and a way that only Sokka can, he completes his training with Master Piandao - even though Sokka doesn't have the direct skills necessary to become a great swordsman, and that he hid the fact that he's not from the Fire Nation. Sokka proved that power isn't the only way to achieve in life.

Meanwhile, Uncle Iroh continues to mope in prison. Or does he?

And what has our favorite love-to-hate princess of the Fire Nation been up to?

But I believe Aang can save the world...
The world seems firmly in control of the Fire Nation on Avatar: The Last Airbender. In Season 3, the biggest question to be answered is... did the Avatar survive the battle at Ba Sing Se? Or has the reincarnation become permanently broken? Only a few know the truth...
    Tonight's Premiere: #305 "The Beach"
Airs: Friday, Oct. 12 at 8:30 pm EST (on Nick in the US,
    YTV in Canada)
Encores (US Only): None scheduled as far as I can see. iTunes and TurboNick within 1-2 days.
Summary: Zuko and the Fire Nation gang take a break at the beach, where they learn more about each other.

    Last Week's Talkback: "Sokka's Master"
    Notes:
'Avatar' Speculation Thread for all your speculating needs!

If the schedules are reading right, as I've looked at them, the episode debuts simultaneously in the US and Canada tonight! If you're in the Eastern and Pacific time zones, at least (can't guarantee it if you're elsewhere).

A little late for summer, but swimsuits are welcome anytime! Will this episode be just 'fun in the sun,' or something much more? Watch and find out!

Azula scaring that boy into an anime face fault.
    Frickin' hilarious.
And what's the deal with Zuko and Mai? Why is he all angry again?

OMG! LOL Azula is so freaking awesome when she tries to act normal.

Poor Zuko/Mai stuff. I think he gets jealous too easy. D: I'm actually liking their coupleness. Hopefully it'll work out.

Azula was cute until she went all psycho. Though the guy's reaction was funny.

"She was right you know; but it still hurt."

    Ha... loved that line.

I won't be surprised if the combustion man attack ends up as a weapon in a FPS in the next few years.

The Beach is now another episode of mine, it's great to see some development from Zuko, Azula, Mai and Ty Lee.

This was a really cool episode. The bad guys got some development, and pretty soon, Zuko will choose the path of good.
Or not, still got some good development.

Awesome episode. Azula actually showed humanity in this one (though she was always quick to recover from these sanity attacks. :D )

The Combustian Man = Frickin' scary!

What's up with everyone having sad stories about their family life, but Azyula, even though she has one, remained cold and heartless even at the end of the epiosde. Now, it looks like Zuko finally confessed about being confused about himself and whethewr or not betraying his ol' dear uncle was right or wrong. Wow, why Zuko's saying this now?
