anyways, cool episode, i like that fact that chloe isnt giving up, but i thought it was a stretch to find someone that looked exactly like the dead guy.

I was totally lost. I don't know if Amanda killed him or if Lex did. Who knows?

The way I took it, Amanda killed him. The ending was a bit of a stretch (he finds a guy on parole who looks just like the dead guy? And where did he get the toxic waste?) but I still really liked it. No freak-of-the-week, and they mentioned Central City! Bring on the Flash! (Or not.) Next week's ep. looks good: Lana gets slutty! :bosko:

I love this show. We are left with doubt as to Lex's involvement and motives, as it should be. And check it out: No Freak of the Week!

We also get mentions of Central City and Bludhaven. That was kind of cool too.

I heard Central City, but when did they say Bludhaven?

I forget exactly when they said it, but it was shortly after the Central City reference... the scene near the end where Amanda's brother is revealing everything to Lex.

If memory serves, he said he worked in Central City and he found the lookalike in Bludhaven.

This episode was pretty confusing. Not the part about Amanda; it's quite obvious she really did shoot the guy, that wasn't meant to be up in the air. But one thing I didn't get was the discussion about Clark's adoption agency papers. What was Clark mad about? What did his parents do to cover their tracks? Why did this supposed agency close after 6 months? And what is Clark's problem with peas? Something doesn't add up. This whole thing is weirder than a herd of cows all dying before anyone notices.

I found this to be a very good and unusual ep, much different from what we've seen so far. The whole storyline of who really killed the guy was confusing, but I assumed that Amanda had been that killer by the end. The "dead guy" not actually being the dead guy but a look alike was quite unexpected, not as much though as the contractor being Amanda's brother. Really an unexpected surprised, which made the ep that much more interesting. The dead cows were something different that's for sure. I enjoyed how they went a bit more into Clark's past, especially concerning the adoption, though Chloe seemed to go a bit overboard there for a bit. I think it's great how they haven't mentioned Gotham, but they have mentioned Bludhaven. Aso, Bludhaven was mentioned before in one of the online articles of the Smallville news page. Next weeks ep certainly caught my attention, can't wait to see what it will be about, and hopefully it wont be let done..the preview was intriguing.

I loved it! :D When there isn't a "freak of the week" this show is really awesome! There was really a lot of good background stuff done in other parts that didn't deal directly with the main plot (like the school project) just like any good drama has, but since I wasn't groaning about a Kryptonite infected human I was actually able to notice it. If there was a poll up I would give "Zero" as many stars as I could. :D

I've only been watcking a couple of weeks now. I really liked this episode. The music in Club Zero was cool. I was glad to here the references to othe DC cities. I also groaned at the look alike cop out. But the rest was great fun and suspenseful. I really like the fresh aproach to Clark's powers this show takes. I was a little confused about the constantly changing flashbacks during the show until I got the hang of how they were using the device. At first I was like "What? Lex Luthor had someone killed?" Then I realized who rediculous that sounds even to someoine with a cassual knowledge of Superman. I think this show should imply Lex's amoral potential a little more than it does.

    hmmm...

When I first heard Mr. Kent say they'd gotten help from someone with the adoption, since they didn't have enough power to do what was needed, and then I saw the LuthorCorp toxic waste barrels, I thought maybe Lionel Luthor had helped with the adoption in exchange for storing the toxic waste on Kent's property. It would help explain why Mr. Kent hates the Luthors. Didn't go quite that way though. :)

I think maybe Clark might have gotten mad at Chloe to sort of get her off the case. If she could see that she was hurting him, maybe he figured she'd drop it.

I was on the phone with my brother when that crane shot of the cows came on and I was like "Oh my god, All the cows are Dead!" it was so weird, I mean I've seen cows get killed by aliens and all in countless films but this was so off the wall, and did it have anything to do with the plot or is it a plant for some future episodes? I was thinking, "Okay did the dead guy put the toxic waste on the farm to make Lex look bad?" Did that get resolved? Maybe I wasn't paying attention.

I really liked the Central City and Bludhaven mentions, and I like the way they're presenting Lex. I love this character, mostly because I don't think I ever considered that he had redeemable qualities. Not that he has, he's evil and evil is so sexy, heh. Overall everything was his fault anyway, he brought Amanda to Club Zero which caused everything in the first place. He tries to do good, he just goes about it in an evil way.

The whole psycho brother at the end was annoying, and on ehting that bothers me is that adoption thing. That it has something to do with the Luthors seems SO forced. But I don't know where else it could be going, unless Bruce Wayne set the thing up or something, which makes no sense, but whatever.
What's the age difference between Lex and Clark? I've always figured somewhere between 6-8 years.

This is probably going to make me a pariah on this site, but what's Bludhaven? Some Nightwing thing isn't it? Is it a city? Who the hell would want to move to a city with a name like that?

I liked the episode. Except, for the EXACT lookalike. I have a feeling Chloe is going to discover Clarks secret soon. I think it would be ok if she did. I can see her running to Clark to help her uncover stories. Although, her not deleting the file. Shows she seems to be more reporter than friend. Or she just wants to know the secret for herself. For example, she did not use the adoption in her report. But, she kept the info.
I know the producers said it will probably gotten into in the next season. But, I cannot believe Clark has not been studying the rocketship in the celler more. It was like here is is in the pilot. Now, lets forget about it for another year.

ps-Also, with regards to Lex's past. Michael Rosenbaum says he wants Lex to stay good for a few more seasons.

I know, I meant why was he mad at his parents?

That's right, Bludhaven is to Nightwing as Gotham is to Batman.

The last thing we need is another Max. These stories always go downhill once someone discovers the hero's secret identity.

You think they're going to let Lex find out Clark's secret eventually? I know they're doing their own thing here, but man that's jumping way out of cannon by a few time zones. How's he going to just forget that his friend from Smallville who he invests quite a bit into and who has saved his life repeatedly?

What could possibly go down to put these guys at odds? Cause cannon wise I don't think Clark's ever on Good terms with Luthor is he?

I think Lex should eventually become involved with Chloe, (although she's getting annoying) and Chloe gets killed indirectly due to Lex, and Clark never forgives him and Lex turns evil vowing never to have friendship again! And Mercy shows up and barehandedly destroys the phat ride Lex has given Clark for High School Graduation as a sign that kiddie gloves are off.

Lex is so cool, I want more Fencing dammit!

Very interesting ep. I liked it a lot. The "double" was a bit eh, but then, we'd all be complaining if it turned out to be a krypto villain wouldnt we? :p

I was also wondering what the deal was with Clark's adoption. I didn't really understand what happened with it.

I'm also curious as to what the Luthors did to Pete Ross' family.

And I'm beginning to think that if someone finds out about Clark, it should NOT be Chloe. She was really annoying me this ep, I had no problems with her until this ep. I can see how if she found out, she could turn into a Max-type character. Which would be unsufferable. Perferable, I'd have Lana or Lex find out.

Next week's ep looks like it's already gonna be a personal favorite of mines. Yow! :D

i think it would be cool if chloe found out, i dont think she would be as stupid as Max. she would be cool, and give clark a chance to use his powers more.

at the end, i was so hoping she would pick save!!!

shes too good of a friend to be a problem...max wasnt a friend and then she found out...and she was really arrogant...chloe loves clark...i think it would be cool to see what happens...but if she does turn into a Max, i'll shoot myself!!!
