Here is the trailer for the upcoming Gnomeo and Juliet sequel, Sherlock Gnomes:

Uhh, who exactly was asking for a sequel? This looks horrible. It is filled with fart jokes, twerking, and bad jokes. I expect this to bomb hard.

They waited WAY too long to make a sequel to this. Do people even remember the first one, I don’t recall ever seeing it air or even show up on a streaming service

The first one really wasn't anything special. I really don't have much better to say about this one.

What was there to enjoy in this pathetic excuse of a first film to warrant a sequel (especially so many years after said first garbage fire came and was put out.) is my real question.

Sorry for the lack of confidence, but who was asking for a sequel to this? Seriously.

This feels like The Nut Job 2, where someone mistakes a moderately successful CG movie's advantageous timing as consumer interest in a franchise. I'd be like if Sony Pictures made an Emoji Movie sequel. Sure, it made money, but I wouldn't say that's fertile ground for more.

Paramount does seem to be slightly aware of that, which is why this isn't called Gnomeo & Juliet 2.

Contender for worst trailer of the year. And that's saying something.

The first film wasn't half bad (wasn't anything to write home about either), but this sequel took waaay too long to come about. I am curious on how this makes at the box office.

They named the mankini gnome “Mankini”. How typical.

Did this one even need a sequel? The first one was surprisingly decent, with some interesting casting (ozzy osbourne!), but this just looks like a lazy direct-to-video sequel.

Ugh. What is this, 2011 again?
Stay out of animation, Rocket Pictures. Let the big boys handle this medium.
