DISH NETWORK KICKS.... well, you know.

That's what I have at home, and I think that if you want basic service, they have the best deals (for DSS Satelite Television)

    http://www.dishnetwork.com

(They're the company planning on BUYING OUT Directv.)

(And they Own Some of the Satelites Directv uses. (Echostar))

Actually, I'm doing this for my sister. HSe just moved to a new area and she is interested in getting a satellite dish. She wants to know what else is out there besides DirectTV.

DirecTV doesn't use any of the Echostar satellites.

Anyway, besides DirecTV and Dish Network, the only other DBS broadcaster in the U.S. is Dominion Sky Angel.

There's another satellite company, R/L DBS, which hasn't launched yet.

Echostar (which owns Dish Network) isn't exactly buying out DirecTV; it's more of a merger. DirecTV will be the surviving company, but it will be renamed Echostar. The new service will be called DirecTV instead of Dish Network.

The dish for the new service is rather weird-looking .
