1. I think it's too late for them to do THAT; 2. When DOES it expire?
I find it odd that Nicktoons is treating LBX, Fusion, and Power Rangers pretty well while treating Zexal like their own garbage. I also haven't seen a promo for Zexal on Nicktoons for a while. Granted, Nickelodeon has a terrible history with third party shows.( the way they treated Fusion is an example) Since Nicktoons is a sister channel of Nickelodeon, the issue with third party shows is not surprising. In fact, out of the big three kids networks, none of them don't have the best history with third party shows.
My guess is probably 2015 or 2016.
Then it better be 2015. There's something about the Yu-Gi-Oh! shows that makes Nicktoons absolutely hate it.
An update to the OMM block. Starting this Saturday, The Brady Barr Experience and Reluctantly Healthy are off the lineup. I guess they didn't do very well in the ratings. The new schedule:
7:00 Calling Dr. Pol
7:30 Calling Dr. Pol
8:00 Calling Dr. Pol
8:30 Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan
9:00 Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan
9:30 Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan
10:00 Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan
10:30 Expedition Wild
11:00 Expedition Wild
11:30 Rock the Park
Figures, my wish gets granted RIGHT when it's too late.
As for the schedule, even by the standards of a lineup with nothing but educrap, that's abysmal. And I can easily see that they're trying to make Dog Whisperer the SpongeBob or Sonic X of the block.
That's a terrible new schedule. The original lineup wasn't anything to write home about either, but this is basically making a block with only four shows.
Yeah, this tells you that Litton isn't putting any effort to OMM.
And history repeats itself...
To be fair, I wasn't really expecting much of any effort from Liton in this new block. It's a block full of E/I shows after all. I'm just amazed that they would make a lineup that bad with almost the entire lineup being made up of three shows. That is just pathetic.
How bad did the ratings have to be? No one watches SatAM blocks anymore.
I guess we'll see a complete revamp in September the way things are going.
As long as it's fulfilling E/I requirements, I don't think OMM will go away.
I do see the block being cut to three hours sometime in the future.
It kinda reminds me of how Fox Box started out with only four shows, only worse.
Actually 5: Ultraman Tiga, Fighting Foodons, Kirby, Ultimate Muscle, and Stargate Infinity
Offically it kinda started with 6, granted TMNT didn't actually join the line-up till Winter 03. I believe it always planned that way anyway. But I know what you mean.
Forgot about Stargate. Wasn't the 02-03 season also gave us The Cramp Twins and reruns of Back to the Future: The Series in the Spring? I remember watching BTTF and seeing a young Bill Nye in the live action Doc Brown segments.
I thought this thread was going to be closed when Vortexx ended because of the "End of a Legacy" title.
They also gave us WMAC Masters, an old 4Kids original (I think) that aired in syndication a long time ago and predates Pokémon.
Well, Light Lucario did say that this thread will not be closed since we can still discuss news and the future of Saban and franchises of shows that aired on Vortexx.
The End of a Legacy part of the title is more of a reference to the end of traditional Saturday Morning blocks rather than just the end of the Vortexx. Vortexx didn't really have much of a legacy to speak of.
Or to begin with.
