So, somebody told me there were 3 DVDs released in Japan called I Love Tweety, and he told me they were restored.

It could be because in the Golden Collection Volume 2 Disc 3 the shorts until Snow Business look older restored versions, and The Last Hungry Cat on GC3 looks an older transfer too.

Then I have a restored version of A Pizza Tweetie Pie recorded on a Spanish channel and people told me on CN USA they aired a restored version of A Bird in a Bonnet.

Anyone who has these DVDs or wants to buy them can confirm?

I don't have the DVDs but I've seen the prints and they're quite good. It's truly a mystery why they were never put on the Super-Stars Sylvester & Tweety disc and we were given nothing but double dips instead.

Where did you see them? I saw low quality screenshots on a site and it's really hard to tell how they really look like.

I don't even know where to find these DVDs to be honest.

I want to say there were some screenshots over at GAC (Golden Age Cartoons) when they still existed.

These DVDs are not listed on Amazon's English site, but they are available to buy on amazon.co.jp. Be aware, though, that these DVDs are region 2 so you'll either need a region free DVD player to play them, or use VLC.

I live in Europe, so my DVD drive is Region 2 too. I have no idea if they ship outside Japan.

IIRC, they are, and the DVDs even have English subtitles.

    IN THAT CASE...

With Sandy Claws as a Bonus from LTPC VOL. 3,

along with these cartoons, I cna make my own Sylvester & Tweety Super Stars DVD: Puddy Tat-astrophe!

I can imagine the line-up now:
    1. A Streetcat Named Sylvester
    2. Catty Cornered
    3. Fowl Weather
    4. Muzzle Tough
    5. Tweety's Circus
    6. Sandy Claws
    7. Tree Cornered Tweety
    8. Greedy for Tweety
    9. Tweet Zoo
    10. A Pizza-Tweety Pie
    11. A Bird in a Bonnet
    12. Tweet and Lovely
    13. The Rebel Without Claws
    14. The Jet Cage
    15. Hawaiian Aye Aye
A Perfect replacement for that double-dipped garbaged Feline Fwenzy disc.

Don't expect any more Sylvester & Tweety cartoons (or heck, Looney Tunes period) to come out anytime soon. The latest Stu's Show apparently had Jerry Beck re-iterating that LT on DVD/BD is more or less dead. If you want these cartoons, your best bet is either to hunt down these Japanese DVDs and have some way to play them, or order some old VHS tapes that contain these cartoons (see this guide for which tapes contain what).

It sucks, but that's the way it is right now.

I'm hunting them down with TV recordings, DVD extra features and Laserdiscs.

Sadly I was forced to download off the internet some obscure cartoon from the 30s, and not even in good quality.

Considering how unrestored transfers of every single short exist, it would be completely cost free from WB to make them available on the Warner Archive.

For an example I'd love to see a B&W copy of A Coy Decoy, even if it's unremastered.

Well, the only thing we can do now is wait for someone with a Region 2 DVD ROM on their computer to just extract those English-dubbed cartoons from the DVDs and then post them on a Torrent like Kick-A** Torrents.

Do not talk about torrents here, this is a public thread.

Not that WB deserves to hold the copyright on those shorts, by seeing the way they treat them anyway.

A black and white copy does exist, and a coy decoy is unrestored to begin with it has never been official released on VHS or DVD ever. Here's a black and white one, but with recreated opening and closing titles (you can tell they are restored)

You know you guys can custom order a DVD from Warner Bros. Just tell them to include those restored prints from the I love Tweety, you may have to pay more than the average DVD but if you want restored prints its worth it.
