Assassin's Creed Rogue confirmed by Ubisoft - here's the first trailer | Polygon
Wait, it's 360 and PS3 only? So Ubisoft's officially given up on the Wii U?
Been wanting to play as a Templar, so I'm good to go. And it's going to be set between IV and III, so it'll be cool to see characters from those.
About that arctic region where Shay kills the Assassin, with that ship in the background... is that the same area that Connor visits later in one of the optional missions in III? Where the shipwreck is in the ice and starts violently sinking, and Connor has to escape it. Because that would be an awesome callback.
Yes, supposedly this PS3 & 360's final AC game.
Playing as a Templar...I honestly don't see that making much of a difference to the gameplay. You play as a Templar for the first ~10 hours of AC III and it doesn't feel any different.
Hopefully this game actually brings something new to the table.
Yeah, Guillemot actually said so, that they weren't going to put more games on the Wii U until the console sold better. Can't really blame them, since Ubisoft was basically the last third-party holdout and AC III and IV sold like garbage on it. This would have been the last AC game on Wii U anyway.
Hopefully it makes its way to PC eventually though.
It looks like this AC won't have multiplayer.

Ubisoft seems to be milking the AC series for all its worth.
Eight mainline AC games in seven years is milking it?
Ubisoft should just be renamed the Assassin's Creed Company...or Abstergo, lol.
In an industry where a Triple A game takes 3-4 years to make, yea I would say so. But why wouldn't they, as much as people complain about there be so many they keep making some of biggest returns in the industry for not having the initials of COD or GTA attached to it. I've sat out all the "filler" AC titles so far and this won't be any different. Unity looks to have more going for it.
