A new and interesting read from RCP's blog shows how the idea Politco raised a few days ago about the possibility of a McCain blowout in November is a load of crock.

From any perspective, (except Hillary's) the odds of that happening are virtually zero. All the Obama campaign needs to point out is that Hillary SIGNED a document which said that she would agree to a deal stripping Michigan and Florida of their delegates, the same one Obama and Edwards signed.

Everyone else played fair but them. Everyone agreed till Hillary started losing. Obama nor Edwards didn't even CAMPAIGN in Michigan. The superdelegates may just step in to end this insanity.

Yes, and I would like a pony for Christmas. No one believes there was a serious and fair election in Michigan.

If we were in "denial" last week, is this "bargaining"?

Hillary somehow thinks Puerto Rico counts in the general election, and anyone who wants her to give up is sexist (which makes Nancy Pelosi a self-hating female I guess), so...

    Today's FiveThirtyEight.com numbers:

    Obama: 267.4 (-3.4)
    McCain: 271.1 (+3.9)

    Clinton: 287.3 (+1.2)
    McCain: 250.7 (-1.2)

Although still far from being completely predictive (150 days to go kiddies!) its interesting to see how much of a potential horse race an Obama and McCain battle could be barring a major discovery on either side.

Well if you've got nothing to do on what here is a beautiful day, the DNC Rules & Bylaws Committee is meeting today to (theoretically) decide Florida and Michigan. I've had it on and it's very interesting to see this process unfold, but I don't think I can handle watching it all day. Right now Clinton tool... supporter Harold Ickes is trying to tell Sen. Carl Levin (D-MI) that Clinton should get her delegates and Uncommitted should be just that, and Obama should officially get none (and went as far as to say that one person's compromise is not another's compromise--when it's between the two positions, how can it not be a compromise?). He is now finding out that you don't debate a debater and that's a big part of what senators do. Sen. Levin has been doing it since 1978.

Okay, having this thing on for nearly two hours and for those with better things to do, I can break down the arguments of the two campaigns and the Michigan state party...

Michigan: 'We have come up with a compromise between our flawed primary results and the desires of both campaigns.

Clinton: 'The vote needs to be counted as is, it's Obama's fault he took his name off the ballot.'

Obama: 'There was no campaign, even Hillary said so, split them evenly to give the state a voice.'

I was asleep during the Florida debate (this whole thing started at 9 a.m. ET) and I think it might be best if I had been here as well. I'm gonna watch a movie.

The one thing the DNC has got NOT to do is move those goal posts. Obama can go over next week based on the current total and that will officially end this five month long nightmare.

Exactly, and if the Florida and Michigan primaries are counted the way Hillary wants, the goal post will be moved to 2,210. Obama only needs like 40 more delegates, as the current goal post of 2,026 stands. Also, if the DNC doesn't give a decision that Hillary approves of, unfortunately she can have an appeal in July, which I would not put past her. She's desperate for any way to snag the nomination, and if force is required, she will use it.

And Florida will (theoretically) have a full delegation seated with each delegates' vote counting for .5. The state's super-delegates will also be given a .5 vote.

And perhaps they could have screened people too. Some people are being incredibly disrespectful in the belief they are practicing "free speech."

If you've read the blogs the Clinton campaign actually encouraged this. They wanted a mess so it will look good for them on the way to Denver. Looks like they've got it.

Well the really loud people did chant Denver as the Michigan delegation was seated per the state party recommendation. It's 69-59 in favor of Clinton and each delegate gets the same .5 votes Florida will. We'll see if it holds.

Well, looks like the goal post has indeed been moved, but it's not terribly different compared to what it was. It's funny that after all the Clinton campaign tried to do, they still did not get exactly what they wanted out of this DNC Rules Committee meeting. The new magic number is 2,118, not 2,210, and Florida and Michigan's delegates will only have 1/2 their votes counted. Obama still only needs roughly 70 more delegates, which he can still get from the remaining primaries and the superdelegates.

Yeah the rumor going arround is that Obama has "banked" the endorsement of at least 30 maybe 40 SDs. He's got this in the bag.

well it looks like this mess should be over. every delegate was seated, with a punishment the same as the GOP used, 1/2 vote each. Hopefully this will satisfy Hilary. To have no punishment at all is rediculous.

ALSO: Obama has officially left the Trinity Church after comments from another pastor there about Hilary clinton(this pastor was white, and Obama did not know him as he knew wright).

In Hillaryland (AKA Bizzaroworld) rediculous is fair and balanced. ;)
