Very cool although I doubt that Funimation will be asked to dub the game for a North America release. Still I don't see this staying a Japanese exclusive for long.

DW-esque? It's made by Omega-Force, the people who make Dynasty Warriors, haha!

It'll probably see release in Europe. As PS3 is region free that shouldn't be a problem to import.

    Another Musou spinoff, eh?

It's going to be based on the "Paramount War/War of the Best" (AKA: the Marineford arc), isn't it?...

This still reminds me that I still need to play the Fist of the North Star DW game. I will probably welcome this game into my library with open arms.

I'm quite optimistic we'll see this one. If Fist of the North Star can get exported, seriously, come on!

I'd probably get it, with interest increasing proportionally to the number of silly / joke characters they sneak in. I have no doubt I'd main Zoro though. He's the perfect fit for a Dynasty Warriors game.

Well... this is probably the first PS3 game that seriously got me thinking I need a PS3.

Dynasty Warriors + One Piece = I want this so bad

One Piece was practically made for this formula. I cannot wait to see how this unfolds.

A scan appears! The graphics look pretty good!

Wait, why is this thread called 'Pirate Warriors'? It's Kaizoku Musou until there's an actual international title.

"One Piece: Pirate Warriors" has been trademarked in Europe, a strong sign that this game's going to get localized in English. I won't be surprised to be hearing much more about this at E3.

In the meantime, a recent video gives us our first look at characters besides Luffy...and naturally players get to relive at least some of the storyline.

It's shaping up better than I expected, actually. To a point, at least, the developers seem to actually care about level design. With the Gundam games that's really an afterthought.

A few handheld One Piece games have been released in Europe so that doesn't necessarily mean Kaizoku Musou will come out here.

We can hope though, I'd say One Piece is more profitable in the US than say Fist of the North Star. I'd like to be optimistic that we'd get it.

While I'd be more skeptical if this were a standalone thing, as the Crunchyroll article notes this is pretty much the pattern that Musou games have been going through of late.

The voice acting situation is the big question mark for me, but in the worst case they're at least liable to take after DW: Gundam 3 and leave the Japanese track in at this point.

I wouldn't count on this coming out in the US just yet. Unlimited Cruise 1 and 2 were completely skipped in America(due to Unlimited Adventure's poor sales) and Europe got the full Japanese track with that one.

Of course it's still possible no doubt :)

You get to relive actual moments in One Piece? I'm love'n this. Can't wait for it to finally come out (in Asia I mean, no region lock on PS3 for the win).
