LOL, they put "Bob the Builder" as one of the options!

Whoever wrote that as the answer must've been really stupid!

I wouldn't say it was a failure, it was just that they had no choice but to "follow the leader".

And we didn't have a linear Disney Junior channel until 2012, mind.

2012 was the same year the Disney Junior channel launched in America.

It was also the year the world ended...NOT!

If we had Jetix Play, it could easily be replaced by PD/DJ PT.

A mash-up of Fox Kids CEE (that is CIS/Eastern Europe/Turkey/Middle East) continuities in Russian from May 2002 (including two closedowns and some old console game footage):

Later they apparently didn't show the age rating before the program but during the intro of the program (burned in), as I have another recording that shows it that way.

Jetix Poland continuity from June 2005 before an episode of "The New Adventures of Lucky Luke":

And here's some trivia about the "Iznogoud" cartoon I have found on the Internet:
"Iznogoud", "The Tick", "Iron Man" (1994), "Spider-Man" (1994) are the Saban cartoons that aired on Canal+ Poland in years 1995-1996. However, out of all those shows, "Iznogoud" didn't later air in Poland on Fox Kids/Jetix at all. Instead over here, the cartoon later aired on RTL7 in 1997 and on Canal+-owned MiniMax Poland in years 1999-2000. After reading this you would think that C+, RTL7 and Minimax got the show from a French company like f.e. France Television Distribution (because "Iznogoud" comics were, of course, made by French)? Wrong!

From what I found "Iznogoud" was co-produced with RTL4 S.A. which was owned by CLT (later CLT-UFA, currently RTL Group). CLT held the distribution rights to "Iznogoud" (and "Sweet Valley High") for at least German-speaking countries, Central and Eastern Europe and CIS (For sure CLT didn't own the rights in UK, Ireland, Dutch-speaking countries and... French speaking Europe as sometime in 00s the DVD of "Iznogoud" released during that time in those countries had the Fox Kids or Jetix logo on their covers.) This may be a reason why neither "Iznogoud" or "Sweet Valley High" wasn't shown in Fox Kids channels in CEE region.

Later in early 2000, RTV Family Entertainment (RTV stands for Ravensburger TV, the company is currently known as Your Family Entertainment) made a deal with CLT-UFA in which the latter sold its children and family portfolio to the former.: ("Iznogoud" and "Sweet Valley High" were part of this deal): http://www.rtlgroup.com/en/press_releases/2000/_strategic_alliance_between_rt.cfm
For proof YFE once distributed "Iznogoud" here is a pdf hidden in their site (in German!): http://www.yf-e.com/uploads/tx_ssdcatalog/iznogoud.pdf

Later "Iznogoud" was also distributed in years 2004-2008 by EM.TV AG (or specifically by its EM.Entertainment GmbH sector) when they had a deal with RTV AG in which the former distributed the latter's catalogue exclusively outside USA, Germany, France, Italy and Spain. Studio100 Media also had a part in distribution of "Iznogoud" in CEE region when they made in February 2008 a deal with EM.Entertainment to distribute its content outside Canada, USA, G/A/S, Australia, New Zealand: http://www.awn.com/news/ementertainment-and-studio100-media-distribution-deal In July 2008, Studio100 Media acquired all of EM.Entertainment GmbH from EM.Sport Media AG (previously EM.TV AG, now Constantin Medien AG). However around the same time YFE started distributing its shows by itself again (according to this: http://www.constantin-medien.de/das...d=101219&sid=c69669f91dd5b405b71d5141683d1011) while Studio100 (through EM.Entertainment) still distributed "Iznogoud" (and other titles in YFE catalog) until September 2008.

Finally, just after Studio100 Media's rights to YFE catalog expired in September 2008, YFE's rights to "Iznogoud" and first season of "Sweet Valley High" reverted back to Disney (who owns the Saban Entertainment catalog to this day), given that the mentions to the first show disappeared on YFE's site around that time. One of signs of YFE's distribution rights to "Iznogoud" being expired is that the 2009 German DVD "Iznogoud" cartoon release contained a Jetix trailer. I think that CLT-UFA had the rights to distribute "Iznogoud" and each season of "Sweet Valley High" for 14 years after production year. YFE still distributed the second season of "Sweet Valley High" until circa mid-2009, the third one until 2010, while the last one was distributed by YFE until late 2011.

Here's the short summary of who distributed "Iznogoud" cartoon in Poland:
    1994 - February 2000: CLT (later CLT-UFA)
February 2000 - March 2004: RTV Family Entertainment AG (later Your Family Entertainment AG)
    March 2004 - February 2008: EM.TV AG /EM.Entertainment GmbH
February 2008 - September 2008: Studio100 Media (for the last two months non-exclusively)
July 2008 - September 2008: Your Family Entertainment AG (or shortly YFE AG)
September 2008 - present: Disney Media Distribution

Few continuities of Jetix Play CEMA from late 2005/early 2006 in Polish have just appeared on YT:

    I'll note few interesting things:
    1. As you can hear the Turkish commercias were still completely in Turkish (they retain all the voices as well, instead of being later replaced by either M&E version of the commercial or with some stock music that were used by various Jetix CEE channels and later Disney Channel in CEE region).

    2. The up next idents were still in the older loo which was introduced when Jetix Play adopted its name on 1st January 2005

    3. The beginning of the "Peter Pan and the Pirates" promo features a slightly different "storybook" animation which was probably intended for... Jetix Play block on Jetix NL as it features characters from the shows of which Jetix Play had almost no rights at all: Hamtaro, Bob the Builder, Buster from Koala Brothers, Tractor Tom and Strawberry Shortcake.

The only show Jetix Europe had some rights in at least one of countries in CEMA region was "Hamtaro - Little Hamsters, Big Adventures" and that only country was Poland (almost the same case was with "Bob the Builder", but by 2004 Jetix's rights to the latter show have expired).

The Polish airing rights to "Koala Brothers", "Bob the Builder" and "Strawberry Shortcake" at the time were with TVP1, while "Tractor Tom" was only released on DVD until CBeebies Poland was launched.

    4. Luckily, I've somehow managed to find the titles of some music used in up next idents and the 2005/2006 "storybook" look:
    a) The 2005 "coming up next" idents: "Reggae Time" by Laurie Burgess, Russell McNamara from KPM Music library: https://www.apmmusic.com/albums/KPM-0562
    b) The "storybook" look main and commercial in/out idents + 2005/2006 premieres promo: "La Conga" by Steve Everitt from Atmosphere Music library: http://www.unippm.pl/#!/pl-PL/brows...x?selectedLabelId=1&PageNo=6&SelectedCDId=964

Believe it or not, these tracks weren't the only ones Jetix Europe (and previously Fox Kids Europe) used in various promos and idents. For instance, the music of 2003-2004 Fox Kids Play idents was also sourced from KPM Music.

The issue with the storybook promo on Jetix Play made me remind of KidsCo's shutdown promo which had footage from FOP and Syfy Kids, on the Western European feed, which didn't have the rights to air it (KidsCo Eastern Europe did have them).
