Promo from Disney Channel Asia (featuring Scrooge's new voice or the last role from Alan Young):

It's hard to say because there is only one line for Scrooge, but It kind of hears like Young.

I went back to Alan Young's reprisal as Uncle Scrooge in "Goofy's First Love" and listened to the clip above back to back, and yeah, whoever has been hired to take on the role now is pretty spot on. Aside from that slight bit of energy in his voice, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Since these shorts are created months in advance, I wonder if Disney just decided to hire a replacement early on in the event that Young did pass away. He died all the way back in May, so maybe not?

I watched Duck The Halls just now. It was super charming and left me with a big smile on my face.

Caught a few visual references to other Disney cartoons throughout, such as the horse-drawn carriage from the short "Once Upon a Wintertime" during Mickey's song and Santa Claus' look being reminiscent to his appearance in the "Santa's Workshop"/ "Night Before Christmas" Silly Symphonies.

I hadn't caught up on the Mickey shorts in a long time and only just found out about the Christmas special. I enjoyed that a lot, as expected. It's great seeing that they're not done with the Mickey shorts yet.

Mickey in Portugese? So they're still doing country-themed shows? Then I very much hope we get a more appropriate Germany-themed episode. Sorry, to disillusion you, but we don't walk around like in "Yodelberg".

What makes you think the other country-themed shorts are more realistic?

I would love to see one about Belgium.

I would love to see a short take place from Greece so they can have Hercules as a cameo. Or maybe make a short that represents Fantasia like they did for Snow White.

It's not the lack of realism, it's more the problem of the misleading. That Alpine style may be a appropriate parody of Austria and Switzerland and maybe even Southern Bavaria, but otherwise has nothing to do with Germany. We hardly have any really high mountains here. But maybe it was supposed to be a Austria-Switzerland-episode.

I'd go for that Belgian episode too. What could we expect from that? Too be honest I don't know any stereotypes about Belgium... mostly because I hardly know anything about Belgium

Oh, now I understand. Yeah, maybe they should indeed make another German short.

I have no idea what to expect from a possible Belgians short either.
Manneken Pis, waffles, beer, comics and chocolate is all we have. Could they make an episode about that? I dunno.
