I would have never guessed that's Hudgens underneath nor that this is from a sitcom.

Hudgens' character is a civilian. I don't know who is playing Crimson Fox, they haven't announced it yet.

I was wondering what actual heroes we would see in the show but wow, Crimson Fox. That's a nice surprise :D.

I could actually see a lot of the Justice League International and Justice League Europe heroes fitting into this series well, if the movies don't have dibs on them that is .

Powerless has been ordered to series:
Vanessa Hudgens as Emily, Danny Pudi, Alan Tudyk, and Christina Kirk. Ben Queen wrote the pilot for "Powerless," and will serve as executive producer alongside TV director Michael Patrick Jann. First still included.

    6/27: Jack O'Lantern in episode 1. Hmm.

7/18: New poster confirms Ron Funches joined the cast. He's reportedly an IT guy who never lost his childlike love of superheroes.

8/8: In the SDCC Edition of TV Guide Magazine, it was confirmed the heroes that would appear the most on the show are the Global Guardians.

AKA the characters who they probably had complete access to (no offense to the Global Guardians) :p.

Didn't know this was a show until today. But I like the cast, and the premise seems cute, so I'll probably check out an episode or two.

I wanted to place this video just in case anyone's interested in the show's current state:

Basically, ever since the mixed reaction from San Diego Comic-Con screening from the past summer, and (as Yojimbo pointed out) the original showrunner leaving the show, the show went for last minute reboot (think of last year's The Muppets half way through its one season).

The show seems to retain the workplace comedy format (there's no clear notice about any genre changes) dealing with the working class in the DC Universe, but now Vanessa Hudges's lead character is the director of Wayne Security (yep, Batman star power strikes again), rather than some random insurance company dealing with collateral damage with Vanessa's character being another worker within a group of average joes.

An interesting running gag could be that we never see Bruce Wayne on the show, but we might occasionally hear him (voiced by Kevin Conroy?) over a speaker-phone.

The revamp of the original premise does look like it may have strengthened the show. I'm not especially hopeful, but I would certainly want it to be good.

That promo didn't look as cringe-worthy as the show initially seemed like it would. That being said, I'm still not that interested in this. It could be a successful show for the general audience, but I wouldn't mind seeing more of the superhero battle at the beginning of the promo.

Again, Powerless doesn't look terrible and if it's a solid show, that's good, but I think I'll still pass.

At least Crimson Fox is still around (though she's giving off that "fake superhero" feeling you get watchings shows that briefly drop into the genre for a one-off episode). Still, seeing that man's car get smashed by the fallen train is make me miss the old premise. Still, perhaps the insurance division could reemerge as a rivaling company?

Still willing to see it though.
