So in short, November is the month where a bunch of people try to write a novel:

    National Novel Writing Month

You get an idea, you run with it, and you see if you can hit the goal within the time frame.

I'm doing it, though not via the website since I wanted to start early (thus moving my deadline up). Anyone else interested?

I've been doing it for a few years. Was going to give it another shot.

If anyone wants to be a writing buddy feel free to add me. I'm not too active on the NaNo boards though.

Two days into my challenge, and I'm at 3150. I'm doing mine on paper, since most of my time is at work. Today was only +1225, because I didn't have any breaks at school. Tomorrow I have three however, so I'll make it up.

I actually started today (but I planned out everything yesterday). I know I'm behind and all but I think I can catch up. I'm actually writing right now but I'm just at 327 words. D:

I've been writing, but behind as well. Been writing in a notebook, so I'll have to copy it over to MS Word to get a current word count. Hoping to get a lot done tomorrow to make up the deficit.

You can use the Lorem Ipsum generator to get a word count if you don't have the time to type it. That's what I've been doing with mine, since I write in notebooks as well.

Count the words you've written on paper, then input that number into the box (near the middle of the page). You can then use what it creates for the "Validate Novel" option on nanowrimo.

I'm at 15.5k now. Will write another marathon tomorrow to get closer to the pace. I'm thinking between 19k and 20k.

Four days later and I'm at 25.8k and I'm quickly catching up to the pace. I'm very confident that I'm going to meet this goal before the deadline.

    Also: double post.

I got sick, which never happens. So I'm pretty far behind and I won't finish on time.

But it's okay, since I've decided to work this one into another story I've written and that makes me happy.

I'm only halfway done. The story's shaping up well but I'm struggling on finding writing time.

I'm going to fall short. I'm pretty sure of that, as I'm 10K behind.

That sucks. At least you got some work done for whatever novel you're working on. It's a lot of work.

Was able to hit 50000. It's kind of a jumbled mess that's going to need a lot of work, but as Lambdadelta was saying, at least I got a lot in that I can work with and mold down the road.

Yeah, you're fine. One of the good tips I got from school was to let something sit for a while before looking at it again. You can then look at it with a fresh mind.
