Over at buckethead.tk, a fellow member had posted some pixelly Lego men in his sgnature. I asked him if I could have a 'blank,' then I got to work. That was several months ago and in that time, I've created a fair amount of them.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
    R. "Ripplin" Buckethead, Sonic Burp, former NHL goalie Guy Hebert and Stingray

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
Sid Vicious, Boba Fett, Gort, Cylon and Gundam GP01-Fb

And finally, me x 2 and a friend of mine named Lorah:

I'll add more as I make 'em. :)

You just can't go wrong with LEGO men.

    A few more:

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]
Astro Boy, Spaceman Spiff and Mr.T

I'm hapy with T, but the others are a little...off. Especially Astro. I might fix up the eyes sometime. That's what's mainly bugging me about him.

Cool! I hope you've got more of these--they're awesome! I think the Cylon and Mr T. must be my favourites so far. :D

    Another one:

This is definitely one of my favorite Lego'd thingies so far! :D

This is a Gundam Rose, from the G Gundam series. There were a lot of ridiculous-looking Gundams in that series, but there are a few really cool ones as well. I may do a few more of these.

    Thanks, A.M. Here's another one:

A bit of a tribute to one of my favorite comedic actors, Jim Varney, who portrayed Ernest. I'd say my favorite Ernest movie is "Ernest Goes to Jail", followed by "Ernest Saves Christmas." His TV show was great, too, knowhutimean?

Picture him doing his little "eh heh heh heh" laugh in the animation. :)

    A couple more:

    [IMG][IMG]
    The Tick and Arthur

I'll have to do some more from the series. The Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs at Midnight should be fun. :)

Sure, Frozen! :) Maybe you could PM me with some suggestions so as to make it more of a surprise if/when they're done.

Excellent work! I especially love the Boba Fett, Cylon, and Coach Hines ones.

How do you make these exactly? I've always wanted to try making my own.

    Thanks! :)

I'm happy someone mentioned Coach Hines. I love that character. "I will turn your eyes into scrambled eggs! Don't ask me how!"

As for how I make 'em, I start out with a stripped down version (as a PNG, here), then just add detail to the proper scale using a regular photo as a guide so I can get it as accurate as possible. I start out doing it in Paint, then create the transparent backgrounds with Photoshop and save it as a GIF. I then use Easy GIF Animator if applicable. It takes a while, but I've learned quite a bit in doing it, so the process is easier and faster for me now than it was even a week ago.

He's a bit shorter than most of these. Well, he's not so Lego-y overall, really, just sort of...mini. Whatevas.

    Love Voltron, and Robocop. :)

Thanks for the info. I assume in Paint it's best to zoom in and then work on where you can see the grid to make sure things are aligned properly?
