Right, so my situation is simple. I don't have a lot of music at all. I'd like to go about improving this a bit. Classical and Jazz are my favored genres, so I'd like to start there. With classical, I'm in decent shape on that right now. Jazz is another matter. I know I like it but for collecting the essentials, well, I could use some help getting pointed in the right direction.

I know I like Ray Charles & I really enjoy instrumental stuff. I think I have a bit of a bias toward upbeat stuff also.

So...recommend albums, I guess! Talk Jazz. And if you've got a favorite artist, or two, or ten, talk about who & why. Go nuts. I'm really lookin' to expand my horizons on this.
