Just to make it clear, all the Turner prints exist with the original Mammy voice, but apparently WB had trouble finding them for the second Spotlight Collection.

Saturday Evening Puss is available with the Turner print on the JP Laserdisc with the original voice, just as well as Fraidy Cat and Polka Dot Puss.

Speaking of 1960s lion logo versions, a lot of them were used for the Italian versions and they all look really bad (The Truce Hurts in particular). I've also seen copies with the Technicolor line blanked out which also look bad.

Oops, I double posted by accident, I already saw it though, my bad.

Is this the Turner print of Jerky Turkey?

Also, recently this year Warner Bros. rejected videos on many of the Happy Harmonies cartoons on YouTube, even the ones that were never released on home video. Looks like we will never see them again.

Actually it's more like only some copies of a few cartoons got taken down, but a handful of copies are still thankfuly available.

    https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDLREuHDblDTfxFjElPXzStALShOWhC6V

This one has Tale of the Vienna Woods, The Lost Chick, either the Pups' Picnic or Christmas, and Swing Wedding disapproved by WB and YouTube.

    https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHvjt3GYB3kaSqGdq2USUX7Bn58HEwfBb

This one has the Early Bird and the worm, Honeyland, Good Little Monkeys, Poor Little Me, The Calico Dragon, Little Buck Cheeser, and when the cat's away.

    https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL057D8BE6AFA6F553

This one has Alias St. Nick, Little Cheeser

    https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLB276951D742C4F0C

This one has Milky Way, War Dogs, Barney Bear

Ah, I forgot where the one with the Old Mill Pond is. But you get the idea. Recently, a lot of non-Tom and Jerry or Droopy MGM cartoons have been leaving youtube. The only copies that manage to stay on the web are yucky bootleg copies because WB doesn't care for those. Now its pretty clear that even MGM Cartoons are disapproved on YouTube. There's more Disney cartoons on youtube than WB's or MGM's.

On T&J: Classic Collection DVD "The Midnight Snack" has no borders at the opening titles, but when I watched this short on Boomerang Europe in 2006-2007 it had green borders at the opening titles.

Are these two separate EU Turner prints of the Tom & Jerry short? If yes, this just makes there 3 Turner prints for this one, 1 USA print and 2 EU prints. And for that alternate version were the green borders seen around the blue Technicolor MGM Cartoons Lion logo or not? And is the green-bordered version with the Thea Vidale-redubbed Mammy Two-Shoes audiotrack like the alternate borderless version as seen on the EU Classic Collection DVD, or has the original Mammy Two-Shoes audiotrack by Lilian Randolph intact?

I always suspected there was another print of The Midnight Snack, and the Thea Vidale dub was done on the first one.

I can tell you the Turner print of The Framed Cat originally had thick blue borders similar to The Zoot Cat, then they only replaced the intro and heavily DNRed the audio.

Is that why the audio on that print sounds so yucky?

Yes. Soundtrack remastering has gone wrong when this cartoon's Turner print was created. What's wrong with the quality of this remastered soundtrack is that it sounds really murky and muffled, that you'd have to turn up the volume of the TV very loud to hear it clearly.

The track they used on the Spotlight Collection is the non DNRed one.

You can hear in the Classic Collection Thea Vidale's voice sounds heavily filtered just as well.

I didn't know all of that at all. Seriously. Thanks for all the info guys!

But wait, what differences does the USA print of "The Midnight Snack" have as opposed to the European ones?

I recreated those supposed "prototype" Turner Europe titles of "The Mdnight Snack" (1941). I know the borders were supposed to be thicker, but I just didn't know or get noticed about it. At least the recreation is very close.

I saw on RAI's archives the old Italian print of The Night Before Christmas which has the exact same MGM card without the Technicolor line as seen in the restored version of Puss Gets the Boot.
