So, they do an excellent job on Superman, Zod, Catwoman and Penguin, but then bungle Batman. :( Too bad.

Where was that glorious Christopher Reeve figure throughout my childhood? I am tempted with it now, just to correct a universal wrong.

I actually think the Keaton Batman figure is pretty cool. If memory serves, this is the first time we've actually had a movie accurate Penguin figure too isn't it? I remember the figure back in the day was a repainted Super Powers figure, which had no resemblance to Danny DeVito.

These are cool, I wish they would do this for the 1987 MOTU movie.

I've heard rumors that the reason Kenner went with a repainted Super Powers Penguin in its Batman Returns toyline were due to the fact that they thought the design looked too scary for kids, and the fact that Danny DeVito didn't sign off on the rights to his likeness for toys, which was the reason Kenner's BTAS Penguin was recalled.

Given how creepy the Devito Penguin appears when he's first appears in the trailer for the film (i.e. him in his "fat suit"), I can see why it could be too scary for kids.

These are sweet. They almost make up for the news that the Batman '66 line has been cancelled (I was so looking forward to an Egghead and King Tut!).

Are they going to be available in stores or are they going to be "Matty Collector" exclusives? I hope they show up at Walmart because I'd like to get Supes, Zod, and Batman. Hopefully, we'll eventually see a Gene Hackman Lex Luthor and a Nuclear Man (yeah, I like him!).
