    Robbie Daymond as Peter Parker,

    Nadji Jeter as Miles Morales,

    Melanie Minichino as Anya Corazon,

    Max Mittelman as Harry Osborn,

    Fred Tatasciore as Max Modell,

    Laura Bailey as Gwen Stacey

    Nancy Linari as Aunt May

    Patton Oswald as Uncle Ben,

    Scott Menville as Doc Ock

    John DiMaggio as the Jackal

    Alastair Duncan as the Vulture

    Joe Quesada as... "Joe"

Favorites in Bold! Although I'm iffy with Patton Oswald as Ben and Scott Menville as Doc Ock.

    Also... *sigh* Joe... Really, Joe?!

I guessing we won't get a crazy finale where Joe is revealed to be Mephisto in disguise.

Oswalt I can see as a younger Uncle Ben, but I have no idea what they were thinking casting Menville as Doc Ock .

Although the character design looks kind of young, so maybe this really is a teenage version of Doctor Octopus ?

If only. Then maybe we could see Spidey punch-him out :rolleyes2:.

Those are just promo illustrations. Not characters designs

Yeah, but you would think the promo illustrations would match the actual designs and look of the show o_O.

I like the touch of the wrestler looking like Macho Man Randy Savage from the first movie.

I'm surprised they didn't announce who was voicing Black Cat. I guess that means she's not going to be a major character on this show .

Also notable is that there's no Mary Jane or J. Jonah Jameson in sight as well o_O.
I'm guessing we can confirm Sandman as one of the villains now...

Also looks like they're keeping Peter's wrestling as part of his origin :D.

Two quick thoughts about Joe Quesada being in this show and running a coffee shop called "Cup of Joe".

    1. Quesada is really trying to be the new Stan Lee and be the face and voice of Marvel by appearing in the cartoons. I would be perfectly fine with this IF Quesada actually "got" how the MU works and didn't (IMO) creatively set the publishing division on it's current downward spiral 16 years ago.

    2. This kind of reminds me of the dinner from Stan Lee's excellent (and IMO, underrated) HEROMAN anime (which seriously needs to be dubbed in English and released here in the States).

I'll be honest, I'd rather have Stan as an actual recurring character in a Spider-Man cartoon again over Joe Quesada .

Heck, Joe's role in this reminds me of Stan's role in the Amazing Spider-Man 2 game where he owned a comic book shop and mentored Peter o_O.

Also glad to see another fan of HEROMAN :anime:.

Well they've already got 2 female heroes, so they've beaten Hulk and the Agents of SMASH, the first 2 seasons of Avengers Assemble and the first 2 seasons of Ultimate Spider-Man in that regard.

Anyway, most excited about Laura Bailey as Gwen. She's probably my favorite female voice actor.

Well, yeah, that's definitely great, but I also wish we could see some more of the prominent women in Peter's life in this show, even the ones without costumes :).

I mean, it would be really disappointing if MJ isn't in this show at all and Black Cat isn't a major character .

I'm also surprised, if the Bugle really is playing a role on this show, that they didn't mention Jonah at all o_O.

I think Laura will probably be a great as Gwen, and I hope she gets more to do character-wise here then she does as Black Widow on Avengers Assemble ;).

I really don't get why he's involved and also, he's not the editor in chief anymore and that Marvel is trying to end its downward spiral with Legacy.

His character will probably end up being a scrappy.

Well, just because the latter's voice actress hasn't been revealed yet doesn't mean she won't be a major character.

True, although they covered pretty much every character we knew about barring Smythe and Liz (which might mean the latter isn't actually going to be an important character going forward)...

Here are the official details from the Marvel website:
All in all, pretty cool news. Glad to have a premiere date announced as well. It looks like @Greg91 was right about the premiere date, while I predicted it would start a week earlier (I think that's when the DuckTales reboot premieres).

    EDIT:
For anyone having trouble seeing the new promo on the Disney XD YouTube channel, here it is again:

    And a slightly different description:

Joe Quesada playing a mentor figure to Peter seems very self-indulgent :/

Also, not fan of deaged Doc Ock.

I like the new promo but there's something about Peter that just feels so different than I ever pictured him. He seems like such a giddy kid when he's happy. I wonder if there will be any difference in personality when he's in costume and when he's not.

The name Bonesaw was also on a flyer in a previous promo so it looks like that's who this will be and not Crusher Hogan.

There's nothing said about Norman/Goblin either which is very surprising to me. I've been a big Spider-Man fan practically from birth and the three constants I've known from his supporting cast were Aunt May, J Jonah Jameson and Mary Jane, so it always feels a little weird when any of them are passed over like that. Anyway, I hope they treat Black Cat right. I'd be so much more excited to see her partnered with Spidey than another Spider-Man but it's not as though this is being made for me or anything.

    Some more thoughts:

Joe Quesada's appearance here in the show is pretty unexpected but I'm not really that much bothered by it. I usually like it when people in the industry add characters based on themselves in cartoons. Hopefully Quesada's interference in Spidey's life will play out better in the show than in the comics.

With Scott Menville voicing Doc Ock, it would be kind of funny if they brought in the rest of the main cast of Teen Titans to voice other members of a potential Sinister Six line-up. :p
