A Loki-centric short would be interesting. After the ending of the Thor: The Dark World I'm sure everyone is clamoring to see what happens next.

I think this is more likely the Slattery one-shot Ben Kingsley had mentioned. Remember, Marvel ruled out a Loki one-shot in the past because they said rendering Asgard and using his powers would be way too expensive for a 10 minute short.

Unless it was filmed as part of The Dark World's budget?

Interesting though, I thought we were getting a Trevor short. If they wish to explain the final scene in TDW wouldn't Thor 3 be more appropriate? It certainly had the box office to merit a third entry in the franchise.

I think Feige said if it's successful they would consider Thor 3. Right now with the PHASE 3 planned, this Avengers Thanos arc doesn't leave much wiggle room. Trevor was supposedly filmed as a treat for fans, I think now they are opening the universe to magic and sorcery and by description this may do it.

Reading that article was a relief. There really can be an opening for a real Mandarin to appear down the road.

I just watched Iron Man 3 again yesterday. I still love the Mandarin plot, it was definitely handled perfectly. While I wish Killian had survived I would kind of hate to see another 'Mandarin' come in and try to continue or top what was pretty much handled perfectly.

There is not much to that clip. It's nice to see more of Trevor but something to latch on to would be nice.

    Awesome, best Mandarin returns.

(Yeah, I felt like being controversial today.)

With Thor: The Dark World being released on Blu ray on Monday over here in the UK, I managed to see All Hail The King earlier in the week. For a 12 minute short, it is utterly hilarious. I am intrigued to see if we see the return of Trevor Slattery somewhere down the road, there is a lot of potential in follow up shorts from here.

It was just brilliant. Very good of Sir Ben Kingsley to return to the role, especially considering it was shot in 3 days and he wasn't paid for his services, apparently.

Wow, that's a rare arrangement. Where did you read about him not being paid?

In this interview with Drew Pearce.

He talks about the shoot, the pitch and what else he'd like to do for Marvel, it's a good read. :)

    Thanks, Stu.

They could definitely do Damage Control. It's already set up. I recall there's an easter egg at the end of Iron Man then in one of the tie-in comics, Coulson notes Damage Control is one of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s divisions and was working on cleaning up the battle between Iron Man and Iron Monger.

EDIT: Watched All Hail The King and loved it. So meta. Justin Hammer scenes were hilarious. Pretty neat we got two more Marvel characters, who are vastly different from their comic versions, Fletcher Heggs and Jackson Norriss. And Seagate Prison has been introduced as well.
