Take with a lump of salt, but Bautista suggested Marvel Studios might be re-acquiring Spider-Man.

Feige seems to have changed his stock answer to the 'when will movie and TV crossover' question but sounds like the interviewer caught him offguard by phrasing it differently.

I somehow don't see Sony giving up the rights just like that unless those planned spinoffs either don't get off the ground or tank .

Feige's response, to me, read as "if we go on long enough, we'll probably have to crossover or do something big." Kind of like how they put off crossing over the main universe of comics with the Ultimate universe for a long while :).

Yeah. And it's from an actor. Hence with a lump of salt. :p

    It's progress.

Well, Sony isn't in a good financial state and they're relying on their future with The Emoji Movie.

This year alone, SONY is not doing well financially:

    Smurfs: The Lost Village
    Underworld: Blood Wars
    Life (2017)
    Resident Evil: The Final Chapter
    T2: Trainspotting

Notice most of these are sequels. Yeah, things are not looking good, so we'll see how things turn out. SONY is also losing James Bond, so. I think SONY is going to fight for Spider-Man, which is why we're getting the Venom/Black Cat universe. If Spider-Man Homecoming doesn't crack a billion this Summer, then we may hear some serious rumblings from the Studios.

Don't forget, there's the upcoming animated Spider-Man film and Hotel Transylvania 3.

Given that Sony is now run by the guy who meddled with the X-Men films, I really hope Marvel regains the film rights sooner than later.

Marvel would write a pretty big check for those Spiderman rights. I imagine they could write a check for the revenues of a successful Spiderman trilogy. They would make it back in a few years.

Disney paid 4 billion for Lucasfilm, and surprisingly hasn't made that all back just yet. I can't say if they would pay that much for Spider-Man, and we know the undisclosed window for rights is around 2-3 years. We can be certain Marvel wants Homecoming to succeed, they just have to diligent of their timing and plans.

Feige clarified Marvel Studios and Fox share races but Fox has certain characters.

I hope the Skrulls appear in a future MCU film or TV show. Maybe AOS could have a storyline involving them.

Yeah, I expect them to start showing up in Phase 4. The GoTG Infinite Comic seeded they exist in the MCU in the open market they advertised a Skrull weapon or something for sale.

EDIT: Yeah, Gamora went to a planet called Conjunction to set up her deal with the Collector. It was a planet in the cold edge of the galaxy and known as a black market for contraband tech. Someone was advertising Skrull detectors for a good price.

I expect we'll get more development with the Kree before we see the Skrulls start doing anything major, but it'd be nice if the Kree mention their hated enemies at some point...

Only because they're only making one Star Wars film a year.

Marvel Studios worldwide box office is $11.3 billion.

That's 11 billion as of this year. 2009, they paid the same exact amount (4billion) for Marvel. They paid 7billion for Pixar before that in 2006, have just about earned that back. I personally don't think Disney/Marvel should pay for Spider-Man, but if they do I have to wonder if they'll let him rest for a bit after these so-called High School series. I don't want that, as I want to him in ESU.

There's no way they'll be able to top the spectacle of Infinity War, so Secret Invasion could be a nice, character driven alternative for a potential fifth Avengers movie.

Feige seems to perk up to a question about the Collector and Grandmaster's relation being preserved in the MCU. Seems they're going to make a nod to that in the upcoming GoTG theme park attraction.

Speaking of which Secret Invasion would probably be the best excuse to cross over the tv and films.

The Guardians of the Galaxy ride at Disneyland has some intriguing teases in the Collector's fortress.

I got bored so I created what I think possible teams could look like in the future MCU without the original six.
